Science Storytelling CLPL: Scotland Rocks

Join the Dynamic Earth Learning and Engagement team and special guest - Geologist Dr Katie Strang - to explore how you can inspire and engage learners in your setting with science storytelling through the themes of Scottish geology, extinction and dinosaurs. As part of this session we’ll be shining a spotlight on the qualities of effective storytelling and presenting, and sharing lots of tools and techniques to help evolve your knowledge, confidence and skills in delivering science learning in your setting.
This session is one of six made possible with support from Education Scotland’s Enhancing CLPL in STEM Grant Programme. This series of new FREE online sessions explore science storytelling through a variety of STEM themes, Realising the Ambition and Learning for Sustainability throughout October 2022 - March 2023. These sessions are delivered by Dynamic Earth's expert learning and engagement team, in partnership with subject specialists from universities.
Our sessions will help evolve your knowledge, confidence and skills in delivery of science experiences through storytelling in your own setting, and are ideal for early level teachers, ASN specialists and ELC practitioners. You are welcome to join us for all events in the series - a different aspect of storytelling practice and theme will be explored each month - or book to attend individual sessions as you wish.
These sessions are open to practitioners across all local authorities in Scotland and the sessions will be delivered on Microsoft Teams.
