To find out what eye is your dominant you can do the triangle test, which is making a triangle with your hands and letting a friend cover one of your eyes and whichever eye isn't covered when the object disappears is your dominant eye. You may have to make the triangle a smaller until only one eye is focusing.

a good test to check this, is to stand on flat ground with you feet shoulders distance apart, then get a friend to push you, not too hard but not too light either, at an unexpected time from behind. And whichever foot your brain decides to put forward to stop you from falling is mainly and most often you predominant foot.

When you hold up your hand and look at something further away you can see two hands, from both eyes. So you can pretty much chose what eye is the "master eye"

Oh right vs. left dominance...I never know what to tell people. I was taught to write right handed, but I'm naturally left handed when I learn new activities (like contact juggling). I consider myself I well adjusted lefty since I can most common tasks with either hand. I'm left hand in all sports, but throw slightly better right handed because I was taught to when I was young, left footed, left eyed, and pistol shoot left handed, but shoot rifle right handed, b/c again, I learned that as a kid.

yes.you are right.it does change.i tried both hands and eyes and it is almost close to impossible to focus using the eye on the same side of the hand i'm using.

Ok. now here is my problem with my "Master Eye" (it sounds like and evil spy master's main weapon). If I use my left hand, to do the circle, my right eye seems to be dominant, and if I use my right hand, it's my left eye. Oh and sometimes I just "see through" parts of my hand, making the whole thing messy. Oh dear, I better go download some self-diagnosis app for my phone. :D

BTW, the eye-trick does not work for everyone. Some people would be right-eyed if they do the "ok" sign with their right hand, and left-eyed if they do it with their left hand, and vice versa. You should not use your own body for that, but another object between you and your target.

The okay sign to find your dominant eye doesn't work, it depends which hand you use. Because you see two images of your okay hand but one O is superimposed over the other image's hand so you don't see that O as well as the other making the eye you find be the same to which hand you chose.

So I tried the thing with your eyes and it was a little weird. Sometimes it was my right eye, sometimes my left and sometimes something in between both and neither. What does that mean?

The master eye test doesn't work on me. When I hold my hand up while focusing on a distant object, I just see my hand in double vision and have to choose which image of my hand to line up with the distant object, which defeats the purpose.

Great video! I tried the master eye experiment and I noticed that If I used my right hand my left eye was dominant, and if I used my left hand my right eye was dominant. Dose anyone know why this is? I had to make a circle with both hands to get a consistent result.

The left & right eye experiment sort of failed for me. After placing an object within the circle, switching eyes revealed the object half in each. I'm presuming that people can be ambidextrous in this, like some are with their hands.

Hmm the last one i don't think is totally true. When I make a OK sign with my left hand my right eye is dominant. When i do it with my right hand my left eye is dominant. I always take the outer cirkel. My dominant eye is my left eye I know for sure. But the first time i did this it said my right eye was dominant. The way i think to check this is to give someone a tube and make them look through it. The eye that looks through the tube is the dominant eye.
