7:27 absolutely, if the colour is not right, then that means the experiment went wrong and the teacher automatically assumes you don't know how to do the experiment. And the experiment is called titration, and it is the Agni pariksha of us science students, and we literally sweat this much while doing it.

That pink colour part was called acid base titration, he used hydrochloric acid in conical flask ( which is very strong acid , one drop of it can burns skin 🔥 ) , and then he add one drop of phenolphthalein indicator ( chemical compound which indicate end or completion of chemical reaction ) then from burette which he holds in his hand he added base means basic solution in control rate of volume in the flask which contains acid + indicator . Base might be sodium hydroxide (NaOH) OR potassium hydroxide (KOH) or other basic solutions which is highly alkaline ( ph 10 or above). So acid base titration used to determine how much ml of basic solution required to neutralized the strength of that acid, when all the acid in flask reacts with base coming from burette , after addition of particular amount of base the strength of acid becomes zero , and there will be no acid remains in flask to react with the base ( means now acid in flask cant damage our skin ) so the next drop of base coming from the burette reacts with the phenolphthalein indicator and their chemical interaction show light pink colour which is called as end point of reaction, and finally the amount of base added from burette is measured as burette reading.
