you explained it very well.. The state of simultaneous existence of both 0 and 1 is - property of Superposition, which could be well understood by "Schrodinger cat" analogy.. And - the property of multiple qubits linked with multiple states is "entanglement". Very well put in an easier way. Thanks

Yes, we are also thinking of doing a video on the Schrodinger's cat. Thanks for your feedback.

This didn't explain how Quantum computing works. We know what a qubit is and what entanglement is already. This video just says quantum computers are faster than classical computers but it didn't explain why or how. It was like saying they work using "magic" 🧙‍♂ Please explain for layman how the Quantum Fourier transform works and what it is and also explain what and how Quantum phase estimation algorithms work. Then I will be happy 😊

Thank you for your feedback! This video is designed as an introduction for beginners, so we focused on the very basics of quantum computing. We appreciate your interest in topics like the Quantum Fourier Transform and phase estimation, and we’d be happy to explore those concepts further in future videos.

Heres how i understood how it works from this video. The qubits like said can be 1 or 0 so you might be confused about what they are truly doing, so say you gave a puzzle with multiple solutions to one normal computing system and one quantum computing system, the normal system will figure out each way of solving the puzzle over a longer point of time because the quantum computer can figure out every solution almost instantly

This explains what's already explained everywhere. I thought you could explain with a simple example how qbits perform a simple operation like adding two numbers.

No matter how many times i hear explanations i still never get it lol, if something is a 0 and 1 at the same time lets say i did something simple like type put at text which in binary is just a group of the 0000 and 1111 depending what text but there is a set binary code to text....how would a quantum computer do it
@Enju-Aihara
@Enju-Aihara 2 ай бұрын
the average of 0 and 1 is 0.5, 0.5 can be represented binary, so imagine the qubits being 0.5 as a binary representation (stateless)

We totally get where you're coming from! In a quantum computer, a qubit can represent both 0 and 1 simultaneously due to superposition. When processing text, instead of just flipping bits between 0 and 1, it can explore many combinations at once, potentially making operations faster. The whole world of quantum mechanics is a bit difficult to visualize because we tend to apply our knowledge and understanding of classical physics to it. We struggle with the same issue whenever we do a quantum video, trust us!

@@Scienceabc As @EastyyBlogspot asks - how would a quantum computer do it? The initial point of 'Schrödinger's cat' was to show a paradox (a cat being alive and dead at the same time)... he was making a redutio ad absurdum about the concept that went on to beautifully sum-up how weird the quantum realm is when compared the workings of classical physics. Sooooo... how is quantum superposition useful if it's in BOTH on and off or 1 and 0 states? I will be very, very grateful if you can help me understand! I'm not confused about superposition - just how such a thing can be utilized for computation

@@Scienceabc also... how do you verify that a problem solved by a quantum computer is correct (is there something akin to a mathematical proof in quantum computing solved problems?)

@@kidheadcaseas a programmer I get it but it wasn't until this video that it made sense. Imagine a slot machine. On a classical computer you pull the lever and get the results but it needs time to process to produce said results. On a quantum computer the slots keep spinning, representing all states at the same time. Sorta like the coin toss example in this video where the coins in the air, it's both heads and tails. But with the slot machine, if you go to measure it, you get a different state every time you measure it, sorta like stopping time and reading the slots. The advantage of this is you can sample every possible combination at once, or when you go to observe it. Where a classical computer needs time to process one combination of the slots after pulling the level. The advantage of a quantum computer is you can write a program that allows finding combinations for the slot machine as the slots spin. Where a normal computer can't do that. The only issue is a quantum computer cannot replace the things normal computers do. But in the future I could see a quantum processor acting as a co processor for special things like randomization, or calculating all possibilities of something simple.

So are Qbits basically skeleton keys of the bit world? Instead of needing to identify the 0 or 1 a Qbit just walks right through. That's how it sounds to me.

a 0 superimposed over a 1 would be closer to a visual representation of superposition - not 1 flicking to zero and flicking to 1 again, really, really fast... that's not it!

I predict (and I could be wrong) that actual working Quantum Computers will NEVER be attainable! At least the way this video predicts. This concept of "all at the SAME TIME" is not possible. That would mean that time had to have stopped or changed in some way? What Google and IBM, etc. have is a wonderful way to make money and get grants! Do ya think?? I was a comp sci, and math major, and have written many many programs in all language levels! The math, and ONLY the math says all this is possible, but the REALITY says NO! Just like the Junk Science of the multiverse! Works great on the math, but NEVER in reality! Now, when outside of time and space, we have a spirit world. This I can NOT understand or explain, but I know it's there! Good luck on all your one cubit the size of TWO large refrigerators! I prefer my desktop thank you very much! 🤓🤓🤔🤔🤗🤗😀😀😁😁
