As a person struggling to cope with and heal from trauma I found the explanation of Trauma as being trapped in the past so resonated with my experience. The feeling of having a “hole” in oneself also sounds so familiar. Most people don’t really want to know the nitty gritty of a person in trauma. I feel a big social pressure just to “get over it” but suppression hasn’t ever helped me, I really must process the trauma myself before I can release it. I see the accident like a slow motion video of glass shattering or perhaps like the accident in space in the movie gravity. I’m still caught up in this terrifying cascade of events that is still evolving. I still have little stable ground below me, I’m in free fall with little hope for a positive outcome. I find the image that one can heal from trauma but it will leave a scar and will change a person, most true for myself.

Such a powerful (and needed) distillation of experience and knowledge - thank you for sharing this. The question and answer session toward the end of the video was also very powerful. I identified with the woman who said that it had taken her 60 years to come to her awareness (in response to Peter Levine's comment that one can be led quickly (by a skilled practitioner) to the core issues). It took me years, starting around 1990, to find that skilled practitioner (many therapists and four psychiatrists), and existing through years of darkness, but I knew deep within that my body and mind were trying to heal and become whole. In fact, I would say my entire life was in preparation of that moment of becoming embodied - two years of hard, deep work to be present, to be in the here and now. I'm grateful that I had the resources - emotionally, financially, spiritually - to see the process through -sixteen years. I believe that my healing has allowed, in some mysterious and beautiful way, for there to be transgenerational healing within my family. I believe that has been part of my purpose, and that most of that stored, deflected and deferred energy has been transmuted into love.

These guys are very inspiring. I so appreciate their work for surely, the healing they've been involved in has touched the whole collective! If life is a river and you don't know how to swim then, you're in a state of perpetual drowning, a state of struggle. When you feel you can't swim, the river is a threat and so Life is experienced as a perpetual threat. And every day , life keeps going so you must keep going in this constant state of threat. The natural response is to tense up and struggle and this only makes things worse. Part of the challenge is, learning how to swim while in the flow of life. For me, I had to come to many epiphanies. I came to the epiphany that, "you can't struggle out of struggle, you have to relax out of struggle." This epiphany lead to a variety of practices aiming at relaxing the body and mind. In the relaxing I naturally float to the surface of the river of life which I equate to the present moment. The surface of the river is still full of waves, splashes and current but, I can see the patterns because, I'm not drowning in them. After years of alternating between drowning and floating, I gained enough insight to the patterns to be able to actually navigate to different patterns of flow intentionally. I did not change the river, I did not change life but, I learned how to swim and how to get myself through rough waters when they present. I eventually learned how to swim and the river became a different experience. Life became a different river. If you can swim, the river is not a threat, not even the challenging parts. When you can swim, the river becomes an adventure, a sport and a co-creation with Life. You can even find the shoreline at points but, that is a whole other subject. Learning to relax and remain calm in any situation has helped me gain skill in swimming. Spending time in reflection and contemplation has created an environment conducive to epiphanies and the epiphanies have fired up the necessary energy to change my response and simultaneously dissolve obstacles, melting away the "stuck" parts. This is a working metaphor for my own healing of personal trauma and the resulting healing that emanates from my current experience. Peace and many blessings.

I listened to this message very carefully, I've been in serious physical pain for almost 6 years. I had initially been to so many doctors trying to see it from a physical perspective. Eventually because of the pain I couldn't work so I studied it day and night, just studied everything about why I would be in pain. Chiropractors, medical doctors, MRIs, test, blood test, reiki, massage, acupuncture- you name it, I've done it- doctors always will try to give you a physical reason, from herniated disc to bulging disc, bad genetics, whatever to give you a reason. It wasn't until I looked at it from a traumatic emotional experience perspective that things actually got way worse, it was my emotions trying to distract me from what was happening inside. So that touched a nerve, an epiphany- I realized things inside cause severe physical pain- it manifests as pain when you don't release it, it gets stuck. I started having dreams about my energy not moving. It showed itself as like a figure eight-8 needing to move inside of the body. Remember we are all energy beings, that is science.

I've been researching sexual trauma and the FreeMasons for more than 30 years to try and make sense of what happened to me when I was 7. My osteopathic physician circumsized my clitoris, my mother enrolled me in a tap dancing and ballet class as soon as I was discharged from the hospital. It was so painful, it didn't feel like the pain was localized in the traumatized area, but all over my body it felt like I was being sliced into pieces. I felt like I died and went to hell, my parents and older sister were mean, rabid barking dogs, and I really related to Romulus and Remus being raised by wolves. I believe my doctor actually had a much different motivation for doing this than my mother did. She acted like I was a genie that could grant any wish. She had severe migraine headaches and became addicted to pain killers. The only thing this situation did was make me not trust my relatives or physicians in general. I understand the "rite of the iynx" has escaped the esoteric boundaries of freemasonry and their uninitiated sons are genetically inheriting their memories of how that "teeny-weenie rite" is accomplished. Here in Kansas these devolving "people" don't understand that they have been deceived into believing they are teeny-weenie gods on earth, with a GRAND PLAN to "shepherd" people. The only thing they're really doing is broadcasting their history (thoughts, words, deeds, as well as their intentions) if they only understood how much harm they're doing to innocent , ignorant people, but also to unborn children. I don't hesitate here in the back acre of red-neck, Kansas to say, "Ice melts at 33^, why do you think Shriner's have a hospital for children deformed in utero?" We need to drop the mythology of Adam and Eve, and call it what it is, the ever repeating tale of Hades and Persephone.

@ Thank you for your reply. I've studied the Sunni's philosophy the most because I believe that's what type was done to me. I do know that it is a part of ritual in those nations that practice it. Regarding the men that have been circumsized in the USA (usually on the 8th day after birth), I believe it does explain a lot of the alpha qualities that are displayed. Seems to be a part of "the plan" to join the extremes. On a physical, philosophical or spiritual level, "it" causes chaos and suffering. Circumcision should be by medical need only, and certainly not done on any child.

Very sorry to hear about your very real, repeating and serious trauma. I suggest that if you wish that you explore IFS or Hakomi therapy (assisted self-study) or any of the therapies I mention in my comment above to 'Joanna Weiss') with a truly skilled facilitator who you feel comfortable enough with, who has done enough of their own work, and can hold a safe space. There may also be someone else who is particularly skilled in working with 'sexual' and traumas of the kind you describe. May admiration for your survival and very best wishes...

Brilliant talk with two of my favorite people, very important talk, beautifully confirming my own experience working with releasing trauma myself, and with my clients, Peter's work was the starting point of moving from talking therapy limitations to body somatic processes, and then tantra and qi gong. Some spiritual qi gong practices are precisely to deal with these energies, generational trauma and personal emotions, using them as fuel on the spiritual path - see Healing Tao and Micheal Winn.

Thomas Huebl: "I must be very aware of what I invest my chi in. If I invest my life energy into your shadow, we're co-funding a shadow country - that's a startup. So what we fund, grows." Great perspective. "Unconscious trauma energy is destiny. Unconscious energy has no choice... Consciousness allows new possibilities to come in. Free choice comes from consciousness." (25:00)

The interviewer just interrupts Peter Levine in the middle of telling such a meaningful experience. Why can’t she just listen and wait for a pause before stampeding in ? Mark Stevens there are something’s about JP that I definitely have contention with I.e he says he does not believe that our society was formed from a dominating patriarchal system, which is utterly false. I’m a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and that book is a testament to how dominated and singular the male roles in society were perceived. However, I’d be interested to see JP and PL discuss the concepts of spirituality, non duality and trauma in the body and the psyche ... I think hearing JP deviate from the current talking points he’s been bombarded with (regarding his book and his issues with the mandate placed on Canadians re: gender pronouns, which I side with him on) would be very interesting.
@renekeitin5 жыл бұрын
Mark Stevens : It's not about the beliefs of JP that you think he has. I would like them to have a conversation because they both are brilliant and they have genius level intellect. And when people come together to TALK with different views and backgrounds there can be something new wich comes up. You can see this in conversations with Sam Harris and Jordan Peterson. They have different views (Atheism vs. religion) and the conversations are so good and viewed millions of times in KZbin.

Mindfulness - living in the now .......and also facing our own fears.....whatever unhealthy luggage we might be carrying as today we are a very different person to the one in the past and...we are not going back but, moving forward. Courage is needed and, all is said without itending to preach anybody as each of us has to walk our own path as per our values and choices. Healing is a process and it does take time. Pain purifies the soul but, certainly something we do not wish to experience. Spirituality will get us in touch with our ownselves...no need for dogma of any kind: again, it is what we choose to follow and to become. There is no excuse to blame the world or others....: good and bad things happen to all of us: let us not become perpetrators but, rather an inspiration to others by our own actions = behaviour speak louder than words. ,

First time I've come across Thomas Huebl, born in Austria, like me. He seems nice, will listen to more later. But at 26.00 he says something about the past only being that which stays with us still. From my understanding, listening to many NDE experiences, every second of our lives is recorded, and shown to us when we pass over. Seems that everything is recorded, and doesn't just disappear. Maybe I misunderstood him, will need to listen to more of his teachings.
