Calling the conscious awareness of the body and the memories it has an "individual consciousness" is a mistake. It is the same consciousness playing every bodily character. Like in a dream, every dream-character within a dream has its own conscious awareness, memories, experiences, etc. but it is not an individual consciousness. A single consciousness is playing all the parts in the dream. Each individual body has its own conscious awareness, point of view, memories, experiences, etc...but not individual consciousness. Consciousness is singular and undivided.

I was just looking up the etymology of the word "individual" because of a similar confusion. It clearly means indivisible, but somewhere along the way, we started using it to mean separate. There is only indivisible consciousness, not many separate consciousnesses. So in a way, it's correct to say "individual consciousness", except that it doesn't mean what it means anymore. 🤪

I get what you're trying to say, that all the characters of the dream are generated by my one consciousness; yet I do not experience "feelings and memories" of the other characters. I only experience my own perspective...
