FANTASTIC video!! Thank you so much for taking your time in making it, you illustrate it in a great, simple manner. Just a comment that has been made previously and might help clarify: SCAB mnemonic for the types of collagen Type 1: S (SKIN, tendons, ligaments, bone cornea etc) Type 2: C (Cartilage- connective tissue) Type 3: A (Arteries) * Thats why in Ehlers-Danlos its 1 and type 3 collagen the 3 is the blood vessel component you spoke about and the 1 includes skin, ligaments, tendons Type 4: B (Basement membrane) Thank you again, I hadn't been able to piece this information together (about synthesis and such) till I saw your video..KEEP IT UP :D

Wonderful explanation. Thank you very much. I'm trying to understand my professor's notes, however, and I see that tropocollagen comes together first to form collagen *fibrils*, which then bundle together to form collagen *fibers*. This may be a bit trivial, so maybe it's no big deal. It seems like it's worth mentioning though! Anyway, this video got you another subscriber. Thanks again. Edit: I guess a collagen fibril is, indeed, "collagen". There's just more modification later on.

What would be the best collagen supplement to take for younger skin? I have seen some called 1200mg Pure Marine Collagen & 300mg Hyaluronic Acid in, and some WITHOUT the Hyaluonic acid? like one which is 700mg Fish Collagen preserves its triple-helix structure, thus keeping polypeptides and amino acids intact? Can you please advise which one is best to take? and how many mg per day? thank you.
