Used to use this stuff on patients in hospitals and nursing homes. It was wonderful for thin delicate dry skin or the skin of a chemo patient. Worked wonders on the nurse's hands, and feels very cool and relieving on sunburns. Edit to add: We used the round lidded tubs because the formula contains allantoin which the hand cream does not. Allantoin is the active substance in Comfrey that lets it knit flesh so fast it can stop internal bleeding. Note: due to updates in science about 30 years ago, comfrey/allantoin are now known to be strictly for EXTERNAL USE ONLY but in the past comfrey tea was widely used among herbalists and country doctors to help treat injuries and stop internal bleeding.

is there any known danger from getting it internally? by unconsciously touching our lips all the time then licking them (knowing that there is allantoin in most hand creams i use)
@leedza4 ай бұрын
@@shoresofreedomneed to do some research but most herbal treatments fell out of favour because they can't be patented and the pharmaceutical companies will not put money into clinical trials. I'm sure there is a wealth of natural treatments that work fine but just lack data to support clinical use

So... touching the containers' inside with bare hands, then putting the cream into the containers without sterilising it, is this really safe to use after all? I can see there is a risk of contamination with bacteria or viruses
@simonaelena54382 жыл бұрын
the cosmetics industry does not work in sterile conditions (but yeah, I wondered as well why doesn't she wear gloves) ' moreover, I am 100000% sure that this product contains a preservative that should stop the bacteria, staph, and fungi from developing. Yes, the spores are even in the air, so there are no sterile manufacturing conditions, like in the pharmaceutical industry. Ingredients list: Deionized water (aqua), Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Peg 2 Stearate, Isopropyl Myristate, Dimethicone, Mineral Oil, Lanolin Oil, Triethanolamine, Allantoin, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Propylparaben. So yeah, there you go, there are 2 preservatives in there, Methylparaben and Propylparaben.

Its so weird to actually work on the conveyors that make this stuff. They 100% filmed their most stable line without that many errors. Those photo eyes and labelers are so finnicky! Plus the operators will say they have an issue cause not everything is perfect which it wont always be. Croocked labels, safety seal leaks, caps too tight, and yes..
