To solve your viscosity problem; if you could run multiple runs of tubing through your crude container like a radiator and find a way to run heated liquid through that tubing to keep the crude warm like a cargo ship does with their long range fuel. But u would just need a low energy way to heat that liquid.

There is still going to be some water in the oil due to formation of alcohols, they work as phase transfer agents, much of that water will be separated in distillation but may still be some azeotropes of water in the fraction around 100° C ±30 . You can also use your distillation device to get some oil and alcohol back from the water collected. I'm sure you'll see all this in testing. I would like to know the actual numbers myself when you get to it. I have ideas how to handle it, I would like to hear yours. HDPE , no wonder you're getting so much gas and so little liquid.

Would you be able to make a burner out of some old copper tubing using the natural gas that you have just created from the reactor?..... It would be the easiest self-sustaining method until you can get a proper burner and it's relatively cheap. Just like five bucks for a strip of copper and some plugs to mount up a fuel line and boom.
