This was Pierce Brosnan's first break into movies after his TV series "Remington Steele" (his debut appearance in the industry) finished. I also think this was Jeff Fahey's (Jobe) first major movie assignment. Pierce's 007 venture comes a few years later after Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton.

When this movie came out, there was a contest where you submit something (I can't remember what - Something that was packaged in the VHS I think or a phone number or something) and you had a chance to win a VR set (what was considered VR in 1992, haha). Was pretty intense to think about as a kid.

One of my Blockbuster memories. I really liked the movie but I felt the dated graphics even for its time hurt it, I always hoped someone would take the original film and fix the graphics.

Likely won't happen because hollywood is definitely going to do everything they can from having any of their content parsed or altered by AI based services. They will use a content id system like youtube to prevent AI from altering copyright works. If hollywood embraces AI, it will be their downfall. Actors and crew will be replaced with an exec and a chatGPT prompt, but then any individual will be able to make their own similar movies and movies will become no more valuable than a youtube video or a tiktok clip. The rich people don't care, they will stay rich while everyone else is out of work and poor. You see it with youtube, tons of AI generated videos are getting more and more popular and the fake narrators are getting harder and harder to identify as computer generated. KZbin does not care if human creators are all replaced by AI generated filler.

Brosnan was such a handsome man. I am glad he played James Bond. Could have done a better job by making story more complex and dated graphics didn't help. May be budget issues.
