Scientists Can't Explain the Mysterious Zone of Silence

Pilot Francisco Sarabia was flying over a patch of desert land in Mexico when his instruments started to act increasingly odd. His radio equipment was failing too. The man had to make an emergency landing in the middle of nowhere. Little did he know that this "nowhere" would be later dubbed "the Zone of Silence," and the mystery behind this place would equal that of the infamous Bermuda Triangle.
So if you ever find yourself in a desert, 25 miles away from Ceballos, Mexico, and just 400 miles to the south of El Paso, Texas, get yourself ready - you're in the Mapimí Silent Zone, and some bizarre things might start to happen right away.

SUMMARY:
- Weird radio silence isn't the only oddity of the creepy Zone. Like, what’s that weird trio that locals keep meeting in the Zone? They’re two men and a woman. Every time people see them, they’re wearing bizarre clothing that isn't suitable for a journey in the desert whatsoever.
- On top of all that, the Zone of Silence is known as a 30-mile (50 km) patch of deserted land where meteorites come crashing down on an eerily regular basis. In the 20th century alone, there were quite a number of such crashes.
- On July 11, 1970, the US launched an ATHENA rocket from the Air Force base in Green River, Utah. But here's the thing: the rocket was supposed to land somewhere in the area of White Sands in New Mexico. Instead, it went off course and, as if being pulled by some external force, crashed right in the heart of the Zone of Silence.
- In the process, the search party could tell that something was tampering with all their communications. That's why it was incredibly difficult to coordinate the work of the teams.
- Scientists have been trying to explain the things happening in the Zone of Silence for years. The most plausible conclusion they've drawn so far is the influence of minerals that are deposited deep underground.
- On the other hand, some experts disagree that the Zone of Silence attracts more meteorites than any other place on Earth.
- But even skeptics can't deny that there’ve been cases of radio communication loss and weird signal tampering. On the other hand, this phenomenon may have another rational explanation: the Zone of Silence is surrounded by a mountain range which can easily cause interference.
- But even without these stories and blood-chilling legends, the zone is nothing short of marvelous. Scientists say that the environment of the area is genuinely unique, with its own flora and fauna species.

Galactic mystery in what way? You're right on the cusp of an electromagnetic deadzone out there where the mantle doesn't seem to be roiling like it is in the northern hemispheres, probably due to the existence of an elongated subduction zone introducing colder crust material in to the mantle. Though it's curious, it's not a galactic mystery like the intergalactic filament or the fermii paradox, it's more just a geological curiosity. People with a small grasp of the universe look to things like this as signs from above, but the universe is simultaneously more mundane and more amazing than all of that science fantasy nonsense about blonde haired aliens (it's a play on the Pleiadean race, which cannot physcially exist given the 7 blue hypergiants the young stellar nursery is known for) and mysterious deadzones. Electromagnetism isn't a fully understood thing and we're probably dealing with some form of related phenomena considering we live on a giant molten magnet.

Some miles north of La Porte California in the Sierra Nevada range is an old abandoned mine that is the focus of an eerie and disturbing effect on people. When I went into the remaining buildings there were scores of graffiti left over a period of years from people remarking on this disturbing effect. After no more than half an hour we no longer could stand to be in this zone and left - all effects of which dissipated no more than half a mile away. Never have encountered anything like that again. We didn't encounter any mysterious or anomalous people but under the influence of this effect you wouldn't need a "Beware Of Dog" sign to keep people away.

It's pretty obvious that there is a really strong magnetic field there and since the meteors are mostly iron it got pulled towards it along with the metal rocket. And probably is also the reason the radio signals went out and electronics also don't work there.

I think it's those things called vile vortices there's five in the northern hemisphere 5 in the southern hemisphere I think they're the twisting magnetic field lines coming out of the planet is what I recall seeing when you look at the maps of the magnetic field lines coming out of the earth and you usually only see the ones coming out of the polls so it's kind of shaped like a torus but I think there's a second set in the middle somewhere around the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn or a little higher or lower

Well, it is not exaggerated that all communication are gone in that area, it is true. I am from Mexico and my mother and her friends told me a story when they used to make social work in the north of the country when they where young. They used to travel at night and specially if they where passing through part of the desert. They used to always hear some music in the car to avoid falling sleep and one night the passed through the zone of silence. They didn't knew there was a place like that so when they passed everything went out. The radio wasn't working and their personal radios neither. They used to travel in two cars so they stopped to see if their friends from the other car were struggling the same thing too and it turned out they were. So my mother said they stopped for a while trying to figure out what was happening but they couldn't find an answer. They stayed there a little bit because my mother says the sky looks amazing in there and that it actually felt very peaceful. Then they continued their trip to the next town, they didn't realize at what moment the radio started working again. The people in the town told them about the zone and some stories about it. It was cool to see a story about the Silence Zone on youtube.

I actually lived in Jimenez. And yes I always heard about the “Zona del silencio”. A lot of people make up stories and stuff but what’s real is that radios and some other communication devices have difficulty communicating with each other.. Like your bluetooth wont work there and stuff, thats for real and no has a a clue why that could be..

It's an interesting place to Google Earth. It's right where 3 provinces meet. Looks like there's a random beach or something where they actually meet, and there's some weird looking half circles northwest of the zone itself and some spots that look scrubbed around as well. Could all be mundane, but I don't really know. Worth a look if nothing else.

Have you ever hear of leg lines? Intersection points on the Earth that configures the electric energy into a patch that does not act like other areas. If this is one of those areas, you could get a car to go uphill, or slanted objects stay upright. There are also some intersecting ley lines, where there are structures that were built by people that put them there for the energy hotspot. The pyramids is one, bermuda triang,e...interestingly is the thing that the Earth's magnetic field is shifting, and maybe these ley lines, and intersecting points are moving as well. Have not checked them for a while.
