Something that most people don't realize about humans from those times, is that they were just as intelligent and capable as anyone now is... Also, it's not confusing at all that the skills of those times have become lost... there was little they had to hold those skills past their lifetimes, and while they could educate the young of their time, war, famine, plagues, weather, and age would all have combined to break the continuation of knowledge to us now... things even several hundreds of years old are lost to us and we have had abilities to write an retain knowledge for several thousand years...

From a practical standpoint, these stone structures aren't very usefull and require massive amounts of upkeep. Most are monuments honor one religious diety or another. A Pharoah pretending to be a god. A despot keeping the subjects in line. What most archeologists don't take into account is climate change. Most of these structures were built shortly after the end of the ice age. They had ice road truckers to transport the megaliths and could have built ramps using snow and ice. They were relocating from the caves they sheltered in an built stone walls to fight back against nature and the roaming bands of maureders. Civilization has moves past that for the most part. Once you've perfected pyramid building to the extent of the Great Pyramid, what comes next? Once your god/king dies without leaving a successor, what takes its place? Once you whittle down your religious dieties to one or two, what comes next? The Roman Coliseum? It served its purpose and fell into disrepair. The same with all the football and baseball stadiums that get torn down and rebuilt after a few decades of use. How about all of the Olympic structures that are built just for one event? Archeologists shouldn't be trying to figure out how they did it but why. The most logical reason is to showcase man's dominance over nature after having endured an ice age and to attract talent to help build a civilization. None of that pertains to today so it is no longer in fashion. Today, steel and glass skyscrapers are the norm as people can actually work and live there rather than pay homage to a god.

@@ShaunHensley you can move giant blocks of granite, by yourself even, you just need to create a pivot and rotate it on that. There was a guy building a Stonehenge replica using concrete blocks. Just create a pivot point with a pebble and walk the block to the site. Teetertotter the block to elevate it into position. As far as the quarrying process goes. A lot of the original tools where removed and repurposed so a lot of it is guesswork on what metallurgy processes were available at the time of construction. Like any good sorcerer, you take your secrets to the grave. You safeguard them to prevent them from falling into enemy hands. Like that guy who built Coral Castle.

To say something was "impossible for man to have made" is a pretty dumb declaration. The 15th century man wasn't building motorcycles but not because motorcycles were "impossible for man to have made". Nice video and presentation. We were educated that stone blocks came after an immense heat and extreme pressure. That lead us think that there is no air pockets of any size in it - but there is. At close examination stones compose of crystal sand of various type and sizes. Especially when the raw sand contains a smaller size decrements to a finest grit are the hardest. Example granite versus limestone. More so stone contains quartz crystals make it the strongest. We use Portland cement that ancient people don’t have but they have something we don’t, geopolymer binder. All Portland concrete and geopolymer concrete takes time to set and cure. By taking advantage of the hardening period they can be batch transport, cast and sculpted easily. We are amused about ancient monuments because we just learn but think.

The two other even bigger stones at Baalbek that are still in the quarry, what stopped them from installing those blocks? Something happened that put an end to the construction. The temple of Jupiter is cool and all but it’s what’s under it that’s interesting. I say disassemble the entire facility and find out what’s below the original structure. Shouldn’t cost but a couple of billion dollars, that ought bout to do it.

Speaking about Baalbek Heliopolis temples brings to mind the stages this monument was built in. Historians indicate that three stages used by the Phoenicians, the Greek, and the Romans followed each other in piling efforts into producing this wonder. I believe the Phoenicians established the bases of the citadle on a small holy river called Ras El Ain which emerged from the black source. Looking at the foundations of the citadle is an awe striking scene. The size of each stone block and the arrangement of those blocks is a mind boggling matter. Hilliopolis is a tri-religios monument built by three great nations and lives to tell the coming generations of the enormous power of this fragile human that an unseen virus like Coronavirus could abolish his kind from the surface of the globe.

If this is believwd to be 1800 yeaes old, ut is very very basic intelligence. Go check great huge temples in India which are kver 2000 years. old. Go check 5000+ years lld submerged city of God Shri Krushna. That is called a great unbelievable sophisticated civilization.

You'd be suprised what humans can do when thier whole life is not occupied by school and working just to barely survive. In less than 100 years this current humans went from steam powered cars to landing on the moon, the ancient humans had 1000s of years, what exactly do you imagine they did? Pick thier nose the whole time?

... the precision of interlocking stones indicates a baffling and prescient fear of modern day tourists with rampant credit cards and reems of paper who come in their hundreds in the hope of being the first to discover what would undoubtably be one of the very first ATMs in the New World, but so far to no avail.

has no one thought that the monoliths are not carved out of stone but from "the same way we make concrete walls". In the old days, they showed an old recipe that can make stones soft so that with a simple heat they can split the stone into pieces and then transport them to building sites and melt the paths back together.

I’d lean this way if the mining sites hadn’t been identified and it appears the rocks were taken out in the final large size. I think you’d find evidence of mining concrete like components. It appears the knowledge of using large scale stone was common knowledge across the planet. All of this indicates a history so different than what we’ve imagined we can’t understand it. Totally obvious we’re not the highest of any intelligence on the planet. We need to have open minds and be comfortable with the fact we may never know. My rambling reply.

Just imagine how far we have gone in the last 300 years. Now note how long the earth has been around... if you divide that by 300, you will realize that advanced civilization probably took place an infinite number times already. The natural resource that we had now were available since the beginning of earth.

Every account that says "humans never could have made this," says that ancient humans were hapless bumblers who couldn't find ways to do what they wanted to do. Sorry, but humans are nature's Swiss Army Knives: if something is barely possible, they will figure it out. There is nothing in this vid that man couldn't have made himself. Remember, the premise of this vid is that humans COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT. But at every turn, we see methods that ARE possible for a manual technology to bring about. I have faith in the capabilities of unaided humans, and I see nothing in this vid that tells me otherwise.

I’m more inclined to believe The Incas when they were asked “did you build this and they responded no the gods did”. The stone structures in my view were built by someone else and most likely by civilizations that were not man (homosapien) but ancient beings. Some of the other cities and structures look as though they were built by man. There’s plenty of material out there to suggest even the Easter Islands were inhabited by Giants as written in the Captain’s log books. The last trip in to the Easter Islands the giants were gone. The inhabitants left knew not where they went off to only that one morning they were just gone?!

"Not typically found in natural rock formations" does NOT mean never found in natural rock formations. Parallel strata are very common but vertical cracking is also not unheard of . You Siberian rocks quite clearly show that tendency. Just pick a nice neat example and then work out how to move it.

All amazing structural achievements. However we should be cautious in suggesting answers in the absence of verifiable evidence. Let’s stick with “I don’t know “ until science and investigation’s can give reasonable, sound explanations that comport with reality.
