For anyone who would like to find out what Scientologists believe and practice, the best source of information are L. Ron Hubbard's books Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health and Scientology: A New Slant on Life.
A full description of the religion, its many Churches and related social betterment programs can be found in the encyclopedic reference book What Is Scientology?
However, for anyone who has simply wondered what the Scientology religion is about, the fundamentals of our beliefs are easily described. Hence, this series of videos are the basic Principles of Scientology, and thus the pillars upon which it rests.

Looking at things like this there is reasonable thinking within it. Explanation for the belief. That shows consideration of how to explain what is meant or understood. That's a positive. My question though is because I'm not going to simply agree for the sake of it.. if it's about understanding self to become a better understanding of self, why do so many leave feeling distraught or let down? I'm not saying they don't have their own part in things with responsibility and i understand that people are individuals who will take different paths in life.. but if that's true within Scientology.. genuinely true.. then why can't people leave with an attitude of this has been such a wonderful experience.. I can thank you for all you have helped me to understand self.. now I feel I am ready to go and carve my own way in the world and when asked by others what helped you to be the person you are...to be able to say I spent some time within a self awareness class that was through Scientology.. it really helped me to understand me and though I am grateful for that experience.. much like a mother bird with her babies there's a time to leave the nest. I mean, joining a church and being helped at a time of need, are two very different things. Being able to continue within life and have a positive experience, sometimes means having a more short stay kind of experience.. because let's face it, not everyone was made to be a Scientologist. However to be able to offer a service where a person is enriched and has better understanding of self.. that's a positive thing. Not rehab, but in a way like rehab. The assistance to get back on their feet and then return to where they really want to be in life. I wasn't a part of Scientology church that's true, but I have been within churches and have understanding of some things that way. Some people are just looking for a touch up in their life. Going through a bad patch and need a place to stop and assess themselves. A safe place where they don't feel like they are going from one bad place then being locked into another. This isn't about defending church as such. Rather trying to understand why people have left this particular church and felt damaged within themselves.. or made claim of the disruption when leaving. I do know a lot within community can have a tendency to cling to people.. not just churches. People can be controlling in nature without meaning to be and it can be from a place of good intentions.. yet still cause a lot of damage. That was something I said I didn't like even in myself. Don't like me fuck off became my motto. That's why it did.

I think the human soul is like the yolk, the egg white and shell is our body, the spirit within our soul will be lightened, and touched by love, love is formed by the light, the sun is the source, without the sun everything will be dead.
