Lol, a human would not accept a number in place of their name due to our individuality. I had a serial number in the army which I remember about as well as phone numbers from 30 years ago, which is to say not well at all.

I think that 013-114 may have been a designation number of an individual of renown in Last culture. Considering the current individual is 099-827 and assuming that vat bred individuals are numbered sequentially, the other one may have indeed been from quite some time ago. Big Nines thought this designation number would be somewhat comparable to an ancient human deity of messengers and cleverness.

@@ckl9390 It didn't seem like a oneway thing, as those born with names would also be rewarded with the choice of a number for valor. With only 999,999 numbers to choose from, I imagine there would be a few repeats. Like with our names. Im thinking of it more like the number is their first name, and the name is their surname. Tha would give a trillion unique combinations, if the were an equal number of names. If you are born in a vat, you get an individual name, and only when worthy can you choose a family name, and probably legally have natural children. If you are born naturally you get a family name and have to prove your valor to earn your individuality.. Its actually a pretty cool quirk for naming.
