I love the frs abd brz! so many people think its a waste of money just because it only has 200hp but no one really realizes that it has so much potential. I plan on buying an frs once im done my schooling!

That's a Cosworth EJ25+, good choice (-: I love this car; good luck to the Scion Drift team!
@mazdaspeed619sd12 жыл бұрын
no, similar motor to the EJ257 found in the 2.5 models except with a few minor differences. Even the STi model of the BRZ is the same EJ257 except with an exhaust and other stuff

4 Wheel Dynos have both rollers mechanically connected. It will still spin the Front rollers even if they are just running the Rear Wheels...

i'm not entirely sure but i think it's for stronger braking so the rear locks up easier.

Dammit! Greddy beat me to it! I was planning to swap an EJ257 over to the FRS when I traded in my STI.

I wasn't saying anything about the channel this video is posted on. It was more a comment towards GReddy. Guess they just went with the cheaper option so they could appeal to a larger/younger audience. I get it, but I'm a Subaru fan first.

Is this an AWD conversion or why are the frontwheels also spinning on the dyno?

Man I would love to strip my car down and build it how I wanted it. Stripping a car down that starts at 2700lbs and adding power :) Sounds like lots of fun to drive.

Yamaha actually developed the heads. Any high performance Toyota engine utilizes heads developed from Yamaha. 3SGTE, 2zzGTE etc. And their heads usually perform very very well. I would have more confidence in the Yamaha heads than any subaru head. But that is just me.

You should probably check to see who owns 45% of Subaru. Guess Toyota and you would be right, Toyota bought from GM when they hit bottom. The FR-S is a ton more Toyota then Subaru. About all thats left is the base engine platform for Subaru, but most of the inner workings have been redesigned by Toyota engineers sent to Subaru. And really the only reason for the boxer engine is because of the very low center of gravity and its mass being spread out almost equally from frame rail to frame rail.

WOW. If any whats to take the time and read up on this car. You will find that the car is far more toy then it will ever be a subi. Dont get me wrong I love both subi and toys and i am not trying to bash on anyone. But do some research first before start to compare A giant like Toyota whom sell close to 3 times. This car is designed by toyota it is based off the looks of the Toyota 2000gt and the only thing that subi brings to the table is the flat for block not the heads are designed by toyota

Are you kidding me? Toyota's engines are.. somewhat.. perfect. I don't know what planet you've come from. I've seen so many 2JZ,1JZ swaps it's not even funny. My mate max had an S13 with a vvt-i 1JZ. All because toyota engines are much more reliable :)
