I like how these lyrics encompass all of the different characters and their storylines. It fits Seven who has to learn to accept his past life, Green Phoenix who wants revenge but realizes he cannot let go of the bond he now shares with his apprentice, and even the side characters such as Chairman Jiang/Redtooth, The Prince of Stan, and Ichiro.

Yes! Season 3 song was also my favorite due to the beat but I think this song for season 4 is the absolute best so far. They really putted a lot of effort to this, which I love.

Season 5 dropping soon so I came to revisit my fav op. Apologies for word vomit but Absolutely loved the chorus how they kept using the word 忘记 / 忘了over and over again to rhyme it just scratches my brain the right way and the way it juxtaposes Seven’s amnesia and how vulnerable it’s left him to his past tragedy ITS SO GOOD MAN I love this op I mean sure op3 had the rad Chinese classical instruments but this has the RAD LYRICS and like the last line 离开才明白只是空白 I interpret it as both Seven being forced to leave his past life behind realising that he can’t remember anything and that him leaving chicken island has separated him from all his lovely memories leaving him lonely and blank SO MANY WAYS TO INTERPRET IT AND that ANGST THAT COMES FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO BELONG ANYWHERE YUM can’t wait for next season ❤

Loved the translation! However my two cents is that the translation for the chorus that’s like “leave the summer behind, leave the world behind, leave the warmth and pain behind” part. The word “leave” carries with it an implication that the person is voluntarily choosing to further themselves from these things while the original lyrics of 忘记/忘了 (to me) implies that the person has their memories taken away unwillingly and that helplessness adds a layer of angst that’s extra extra delicious! I would personally go for words like “lose sight of” or “forget” instead of “leave” The meaning is very similar and completely understandable though! Thanks for the vid
