I live in North Carolina. What is the best source to find model shows in the SE? I always am a day late. Thx
@MarkBatsonHobbydude0072 жыл бұрын
I find most of mine online. Also most shows have brochures to a number of events. The next big model car show in NC is in Clemons in August. Check “Carolina Kustom Modelers” (CKM) website or Facebook page. Have an awesome week!!

What are the names of the model car clubs in Spartanburg?
@MarkBatsonHobbydude007 Жыл бұрын
Hi Lyn!! South Carolina Modelers Association, SCMA. They have chapters all over the state. The Spartanburg chapter meet monthly at Mason’s hot rods and hobbies. Check with Doreen there about meeting nights. Hope you can join in!

Will there be a 2023 show? I'm in SC, and plan to delve back into modeling again. I have become disabled, so I have alot of time. I would love to go to this show. Would you consider this venue to be wheelchair ♿️ accessible? Do you know if it would even be held at the same location? Thanks for any info you can offer.
@MarkBatsonHobbydude007 Жыл бұрын
Hi Paul! Yes sir this show is on for 2023! Also, the SCMA has a big show next weekend (January 21, 2023) in Spartanburg, SC. The Simpsonville show in May will be in the same location. (Been there for almost 20 years)
@paulpitmon6663 Жыл бұрын
@MarkBatsonHobbydude007 i live in Chesnee, I'm gonna try and go to the Spartanburg show for sure. Thank you for that info. Honestly, it's been a long time since I have found myself excited about anything, really. I have half a dozen kits sitting around I plan to build. Really looking forward to this upcoming show. Thank you again for such a prompt response! Maybe I'll see you there.

I look for Anything Tim Richmond !!!!!!!!!??" And Rusty Wallace!!!!" And then for my brother!. Mark Martin!!!!!!" Rob Morosoe!!! I hope I spelled that right!!!? Rib was a awesome driver 👌 😋!!!!!!!" I bought my brother the swisher sweets two pack Die-cast cars in the Swisher sweets wooden box!! And it was very expensive and nice set!!! And it was after his death!! And ya'll know what happens when someone famous dies!!!? Their merchandise goes up greatly!!!!? Lol " And I bought it from a guy that had a shop in Myrtle Beach area!!!" And then I had to pay for the Location! LOCATION AND LOCATION!!!!!? Lol " But he was very happy when we got back to Indianapolis Indiana!!!!! And then after several years went by!? Him and his wife got a not so nice divorce!!!!!!!? Lol " And then when his dumb ass went to jail " Ahe sold his shiat and then threw out whatever she couldn't sell and when he got out!? He was wishing he didn't go to jail!!!!! Lol " Double punishment for him!! From her and her new boyfriend which she was already dating and making love to while he was working his ass off and all along she had planned on ruining his life!! And after getting off work she had planned on calling the law and claiming that he was abusive and had hit her!!!!? But unfortunately the law is set up to claim that your guilty until proving innocent!!!? So anyway " What I'm getting at is!? She had planned it all!!! And knew that his pride and joy was his collectibles which was massive in scale!!! After years of collecting and spending his hard earned money for his collection!!!! And then in a blink of a evil woman!!!!!!" She got rid of it all in a matter of a few days!!!!!!. Wow!!!" So please men!!? This is a cautionary tell of a guy who loved collectibles and his family and friends!!! But he should have just stuck with his collectibles and never got with his weldabeast!!!!!" Lol " Fellows please don't put your girl over your collectibles!!!! Because you're collectibles will be with you through thick and thin ♥ 💙!!!? Lol God bless you all today 🙏 Shalom

I have always been blessed with a wife and best friend who has supported my hobbys!! Sadly, I also know guys that can not say the same.😕

Yo, how about sticking to vehicles ? While I like and have built monster models and super heroes and fighters/ bombers etc. I thought I'd be seeing car models. Personal preference: more drag racing less Tamiya/ Hasegawa, etc. None of their stuff have engines, I don't buy or build " curbside" kits. Who cared if Tamiya etc have 80 parts in the interior when you can't see it anyhow....
@thomasboogie7342 жыл бұрын
BTW, I really dug your focus on the shopping area, reminded me of the one at NNL East, when I lived in NJ up til year ago, although that one takes up 2 full rooms, the model contest in a 3rd ( in case you've never been to that one) Anyhow, I also wanted to mention I've enjoyed your work in the model car mags over the years, good stuff !
@MarkBatsonHobbydude0072 жыл бұрын
Many thanks brother!! Yes sir, NNL east is huge and a TON of fun!! And thanks for following and supporting the channel!! Have an awesome week!!
