SCO summit: Chinese President Xi calls on nations to "resist external interference"

Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on leaders at a Central Asian summit to resist what he describes as "external interference". He was speaking at the main meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, held in Kazakhstan's capital. Mr Xi added that nations should firmly support each other and take control of the future of regional peace and development, and emphasised the need to handle internal differences peacefully. The multipolar world order is forming and growing, and this trend will continue and the sooner people understand why and prepare for this new future, the safer the world will be. What we seeing now is the resistance to this change by the US and the west primarily because the world's wealth is shifting away towards the East and trickling to the Global South countries as their population becomes better educated, their economies weaned itself of US dollars and into their own currencies. I hope Singapore too has a vision and medium and long term plan for this changing world order and where we are in this multipolar world!
