Of all the direct-to-video movies I'd pick the witch's ghost as my favorite though I think it would've made things a little more interesting if they made Ben Ravencroft a little bit more murderous especially towards particular families and especially if they were families that would not only be their victims, but would turn over his ancestress to be brought on trial then sentenced to drown or to be hung by the neck until death (There wouldn't be any burning at the stake).

It was the second time of Tim Curry performed as a wizard/warlock. The first time was in HBO's 1986 British live action television film "The Worst Witch" (based on Jill Murphy's 1974 fantasy children's novel of the same name) where he sang "Anything Can Happen on Halloween".
