Jeepers! Who would've ever though that a Game Boy game based on a kid's cartoon would have ever rivaled the likes of Maniac Mansion? What an awesome game!

The genesis scooby game is also like maniac mansion

it certainly looks as creepy as the title suggests. even with the cheery music. just like Maniac Mansion

@@knuclear200x Right? Even down to the mad scientist capturing the hot girl to do experiments. Even his lair looks just like Ed Edisons! So much LucasArts fanboy-ism went into this game. I love it.

Love how they were able to replicate the animations of the characters seen in the show mainly scoobys laughing animation from the shows intro heck they even got his ears to move as he was laughing also how they were able to cram in a whole entire episode of the show in the game is very impressive also love how the title screen shows the gang running prefect recreations of thier running cycles and also that rendition of the theme song herd at the begging of the game was pretty sweet as well

I remember playing this game as it was a fun adaptation of the classic Scooby-Doo episode.

No lie, I remembered this game instantly when I started playing the Switch version of Grim Fandango (Tim Schafer classic) as soon as I saw that I was directly controlling Manny unlike the PC original, I remembered... "Hey, this was how I controlled Shaggy/Scooby, Fred, Daphne, and Velma."

Certainly Scooby Doo always had luck with videogames. I don't remember a game that is bad, just between decent and legit good. Thanks God we had Maniac Mansion Scooby Doo.

Zoinks, I remember this one! This Scooby game was pretty fun. Very much hearkens back to the classic LucasArts point-and-click adventure games. Although I'm infinitely more nostalgic for the Genesis one, this GBC adventure was totally more true to the show, the art is fantastic, and I love how you can play as the whole Mystery Inc. gang. But of course, I'd stick with my boys Shaggy and Scooby throughout a majority of the mystery.

You'd think there would be more puzzle adventure games of scooby doo but there just isn't enough!

This game actually really scared my when I was a kid. The part where Mr Hyde suddenly comes out of the door and crosses the landing terrified me. When I have nightmares now, in my 20s, I'm still pursued by a green man!

Me too! Also when Daphne disappeared and you could no longer select her as a playable character. Really creeped me out.

@@looney1023 oh god yeah! After having played the game again yesterday, I've got to say that it's sooooo much better than I remembered. It's actually a really solid adventure game. Good music, good pacing, great atmosphere. Awesome! :)

This is still a genuinely great game. I played it so much as a kid and playing recently it still holds up.

Interesting for them to take this kind of approach rather than a platformer or the like. Reminds me of the Genesis Scooby Doo game.

Had this as a kid but absolutely could not figure out how to play. Wish I still had the cartridge to retry it sometime

The only Scooby-Doo game i ever played is Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase on the PS1. It was nice. This one looks cool😊. Ah, the GBC...those were the days.

Lucie Bureau Cyber Chase was honestly a really cheap Crash Bandicoot clone.

Of course :) if I didn't, I'd be missing out on huge chunks of these systems' libraries.
