Scooby-Doo Mystery Mayhem | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

Though all the negative news surrounding the recent Velma show made me stay far away from that, it DID get me interested in revisiting some old Scooby-Doo games from a bygone era. Back during the Playstation 2 times we had a bunch of Scooby-Doo games come out that were actually quite decent. They nailed the feeling and setting of the show and the characters felt true to their source material....unlike a different HBO Max show out there.
Mystery Mayhem takes a different approach as it gives the player 5 shorter episodes that last around 40 minutes each with varied settings and a complete new storyline. It feels like you are playing through a short Saturday morning cartoon episode of Scooby-Doo and his friends. Rather than a platformer it feels like an adventure game where you need to collect certain items and keys to progress.
There are sometimes a few minigames like a minecart race or motorcycle sequence. Though these are fun at first, they outstay their welcome and you get set back to the beginning of the section whenever you fail a button prompt. Nevertheless I had a blast with this game and cannot wait to visit some other Scooby games for that sweet nostalgia!

Oh man this unlocked a memory I forgot about, I used to play this game as a kid! This one was one of my Favourites along with sly cooper.

Me too! I used to play this as a child but would get my big brother to help/play it for me if it got too hard. The game needed a memory card to save the game back then which we didn't have which got him frustrated having to replay all the previous levels until he gave up and said he wouldn't play it again without a memory card. He got me a memory card for Christmas but by then I had forgotten about the game. We started playing it again eventually and I/we beat the game in the end! Ahh memories

Special tips: 1. Keep your distance from monsters when trying to capture them, but you need to close enough for the time of doom to reach them. 2. To get rid of force fields, defeat all monsters in the area. 3. As Velma said, you need to have the right type of page to capture monsters. For example, to capture shadows, you need the shadow page. 4. The tome of doom has no effect on crocodiles and human enemies because they’re not monsters. You can only avoid them. 5. Collect wisps to recharge the tome of doom. You can get them from the floating green skulls. Opening the book draws them to you. 6. There’s always a clue to a puzzle somewhere. Look carefully.

I watched the 60s tv show when it was on Saturday mornings or when it played while I was home sick, and naturally I loved this game as a young kid. I probably played through the whole story at least four times! I just got reminded of this game because my best friend and our significant others decided we’d dress as the characters this year for Halloween (so original, I know) but I look forward to it!

Last time I remember playing this? I got stuck in the theatre.....I went into the room with the movable pipe sections & for some reason it refused to allow me to complete the set tasks even though I did them exactly as instructed.....I wasn't impressed

loved this game, still is one of my favorites. this may be old but why did you try and capture the shadows? Velma literally said there is only ONE PAGE. be smart and listen. you need to move around and dodge the ghosts while catching them. you're pretty bad at this game
