Bosch gbh 240 is more powerful than Makita, i bought makita 2470, and after 10 minutes of chiseling, heats up very, so i'm very disapointed from makita, it's factory problem.

What do you do the first time you insert the depth gauge? Mine can’t go in the hole even when I screw off the handle completely

Hi Emil, the depth gauge doesn’t go inside the hole at all, it fits through the handle on the side to set the depth you require . As you are drilling it goes on the side of the wall and when you reach the depth you require it will touch the side of the wall which will stop you drilling any further if you understand what I mean. Hahahhah me dad got it for free I'm from Singapore so the China man want to go home to China and bring this drill but cannot get through airport security so he had to surrender so me dad friend contact me dad and ask whether he wants it or not😂
