This is going to sound insane, like something your nana would tell you over breakfast and coffee, but straight up walk backwards towards the bird you want to gingerly pluck and hold and 8/10 they won't fly away. Usually I don't screw up unless I move my head to look at one and then it flies away

So how do you puck them up? Do you walk backwards *over* the bird and then just lean down and scoop 'em? Or do you stop in front of them and like reach through your legs? How does this happen?!?

They are all domesticated. We domesticated them and then they fell out of fashion and we just released them. They trusted us and we betrayed them
