What blows me away is the speed and comfort you rode your scooter in the rain. I just seem to avoid rain at all costs!

I've ridden in terrible weather conditions, including hail, snow, freezing cold rain, and extreme wind. The best way to get comfortable riding is to purposely ride when conditions are bad, which I did when I started riding almost 30 years ago. Now, the warm rain of Alabama and Thailand is no big deal. Lol

Your channel is one of my favorites. The videos are practical and relevant. I really liked the one you did about 12 reasons to retire in Thailand - relevant to me and overall well made. Cheers from Bangkok.

Thanks for sharing! Very useful gadget here in the west. But it might be confused in the crazy tight traffic in Bangkok, Pattaya or other cities in Thailand where the scooters are swarming around you in hundreds. So I am very interested to see how it works for you when you put it on your scooter in Thailand.
@JakeSnowLiveSimpleАй бұрын
😆 Right, I'm very curious how it'll perform in that motorbike traffic.

Jake love the channel, its a God send cause im leaving early next year on my own at 44 and it feels a little overwhelming at times but I've been wanting this for over 5 years, i visited Chiang Mai in 2022 and loved the atmosphere and people.... What would you recommend i do first when i arrive in a city like Chiang Mai or pattaya , stay in hotel for a few nights and then start looking for apartment? Do you see many houses for rent over there? Think i would prefer that to an apartment I'm excited and nervous 😋 cause im leaving quite a nice home here but its time to go

That's awesome, I'm happy for you! I recommend staying in a hotel for a week to acclimate and decide which area you want to live in. This will also give you time to get your Thai Phone number at AIS and open a Thai bank account. My Wise account (phone app), AIS cell number, and Kasikorn Bank account are the three most important things I have that make living in Thailand easy-besides the visa.

Hey Jake hope you’re doing well. You already now I own the adv350, but I always wanted to ride an Xmax. Maybe I’ll rent one and ride.
@JakeSnowLiveSimple28 күн бұрын
Thanks, I hope you're enjoying that ADV350. The XMAX is worth renting. It's always fun riding different motorbikes to compare.

Jake you make good videos. Thanks. I’m about to buy a Forza 350 roadsync 2025. Thailand. I like it better than ADV and it has a full color screen with navigation. Can you tell me why you don’t like Forza thank you
@JakeSnowLiveSimpleАй бұрын
You're welcome, and thank you. The Forza blocks too much airflow for riding in hot Thailand traffic. A friend in Pattaya who owned one best sums it up: "It's like riding around in a bathtub." Also, The power-adjustable windscreen vibrates at highway speeds, and the ride quality was good until I rode an XMAX and an ADV350. However, I like the mirror placement and the low-end acceleration. I last rode a Forza in 2022. I need to do a comparison review with a new one to update my thoughts. It's best to rent each one you're interested in buying for at least a few days to put it through the "live-with" test. The Forza is an excellent motorbike, and many people love it. It's just too hot for me to ride it in Thailand.

I have a question about car washing your XMAX. Does it not soak the seat and make you have a completely wet pants afterwards? How do you ride it after? Also, does it not cause rust to build up underneath in the engine area getting wet?
@JakeSnowLiveSimpleАй бұрын
I always keep a small rag under the seat to wipe away dust and dry the seat when wet. After a wash, I jump on and ride like normal. If I'm riding a motorbike with more power, I'll take it easy until the tires are dry to ensure the soap is gone, which only takes a minute or two of riding. I've never had rust issues with any of my scooters or motorcycles. The only motorbike I owned that had some light rust was my 1995 Yamaha YZF600. Nothing I owned after that ever rusted.

How can you drive xmax when you can drive Forza 350🙄 ?
@JakeSnowLiveSimpleАй бұрын
I rode Forzas in Thailand. However, I prefer the XMAX to the Forza, and it's unavailable in the US.
@studyobservation-rn3bmАй бұрын
@JakeSnowLiveSimple import it, xmax is horrible, forza350 is all you need !
@JakeSnowLiveSimpleАй бұрын
Why do you dislike XMAX so much? Lol I assume you must have had a bad experience owning one.
@studyobservation-rn3bmАй бұрын
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple driver's horrible, handles horrible, power delivery horrible, build quality mmmm🤔ok. , cost new more than Forza... All minusus and to pluses
@JakeSnowLiveSimpleАй бұрын
In my experience, the XMAX's ride quality and handling are better than those of the Forza. The drive ratio is slightly higher, giving the XMAX a higher top speed, but I prefer the Forza's better low-end acceleration. I've seen similar prices for both, except for the XMAX tech Max. That one is a bit pricey in comparison. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 🙏🏼
