Crazy. When I was a teenager I remember hot rod magazine had a build series on a chevette with a caddy engine 500ci!? That inspired me to buy a 82 chevette almost identical to your project. Life happened and I said goodbye to the car and always wanted to pick that up again someday and build something like it. Thank you for Sharing this build, I just found ya. Subscribed! Now I’m searching classified’s for a chevette lol.

Funny you mention the Bad Seed! I have my 2nd big cad powered one under the tarp (can be seen here in other vids) I'm working on that's gonna be a much better setup then my first. My first was a 2 tone brown 82 with a 500 we built in a barn over some wobble pops back in 99. I couldn't buy that mag fast enough when it popped up! Now to be fair both mine are under hood no setback like Steve's lol. Bad Seed was nuts 😅. I have a 4.9 cad in my white 87 as well.

Oh my GOD it’s a Chevette! Anything over 50 horsepower will rip the body apart!🤣 I had a new 1984. It came with a sticker on the dash that said “ Don’t even THINK of trying to pass ANYONE!” I wouldn’t even race a one legged kid on a skateboard with mine!🤣🤣🤣

That's wild my stock stock ones even with an automatic will do over 100 lol. You usually also technically safe to about 300 HP in these without sticky tires on them 😉
