Hmmm, just wanted to mention I just unlocked my Max G2 which arrived with 1.5.3 control just using an app called BLE scanner and writing a code. My scooter was a European version serial started with 02GV. Prior to this method, I tried the old Xiaodash method with no luck. I can put a link to the tutorial if @Mc Kuc is ok with it.

@@KayvanCrafted i think that this isnot possibe on current firmwares. I had a g2 that was on 1.4.something and i was able to change the serial without problems. You can post if youtube lets you. Maybe its better to post in under my g2 max xiaodash video and not this g30 video

I worked on many Ninebot scooters and never had to take that warranty sticker off of the battery connector. It's easy to unplug without removing that. Also, aren't those type of stickers null and void in the EU? Right to repair and all?

We are flashing the scooter here and in this case it is clear anyway.. bye bye warranty! ;) This was the first g30 i opened. You are right.. I also unplugged it on them without removing the sticker first but sometimes the sticker got squished when plugging the connector back in, so i tend to remove the warranty sticker.

My controller had a circuit short even though it was not powered. Just by touching the jumper wire. I think it was the residual voltage. I used the controller 3-5 minutes after unplugging it, so that might be the cause. I'm not sure what else could have caused the short circuit.

@@genki2705 it is important to discharge the capacitors to prevent short circuits during the st-link process. I wrote that in the comments. Even if you start the dashboard with unplugged battery, the caps have still 8V or so. Some components run on 3V or lower.

I would be ordering new deck frame and itcmy very first project and I don't have to worry about having any firmwares with apps and Ive still got ninebot max and rather kept in stock until my new deck frame and looking forward on my first project so can not wait then I can go offroading every weekends and stock for public areas without getting a not trouble just sticking with good thoughts not to spend money on toward the government 😭

Hello and thanks for the content. I have a question, I did downgrade to 1.2.6 but now when I put the scooter to charge, it doesn't show the battery level like it used to do before. I have to check it through the app to see the charging percentage. Any idea how to get the function back?

Probably because charging mode is disabled. Try to enable it. You can also install SHFW 0.3 regular base 187. It was released today. There is a field weakening option to boost the scooter :D t.me/scooterhackingchat

In The future in shfw you get field weakening setting so you get gen1 stock running like 35-36 kmh but you lose like 15-20% torque so yeah but definitely gonna use it

Cześć, Oddałem moją hulajnogę na seriws aby odblokowało st linkiem i wgrali nowy soft shfw. Zauważyłem że mam inny numer seryjny w aplikacji niż na obudowie i dokumentach zakupowych. Nie wiem dlaczego wpisali inny numer ale czy mogę go spowrotem zmienić na oryginalny numer seryjny tak aby nie tracić zapisanych ustawień i shfw działał tak jak działa dotychczas? Czy zmiana numeru seryjnego jest nieunikniona i musi być inna niż oryginał?

I had the same error on an stm32 controller and i have to try out if this will fix it: Connect the battery and the ble, turn on the scooter and then flash without the +5v cable (only swclck, swdio, gnd).

First Check the wiring and maybe you need to enable new max motors. Not sure if this is still a thing but if the wiring is okay (no inverted connectors) you can flash another regular base SHFW

Hey, I just spent 2 hours trying to flash my g30lp and realized I need a STLink because the new DRV version. Is that the only way? I don't really wanna buy a stlink and take the thing apart but if that's the only way then idk...

It depends on the controller and fw you have installed. If its controller version 1 (ST32 chip) and Version 1.1(AT32 Chip) then the Firmware needs to be 1.7.3 or lower to be able to install shfw per bluetooth. If DRV is above 1.7.3 then only st-link can help. If you have a Controller v1.1 and it shipped with 1.7.3 from factory then you may need SHU 2.1.1 instead of SHU 2.2 to be able to install SHFW. Link is in the description. What DRV is your scoter on? Check with SHU (ScooterHacking Utiluty App)

Also, I am from Brazil, here we don't have any blogs about scooters because it's a rare item here. Mine came limited to 20kmh, I bought recently in 2022. I know that those newer versions if you try to flash it via bluetooth may brick them.
