He hurt his lower back by slipped disk in his spine. It was a very scary event for a few weeks. Some dachshunds completely loose their rear leg abilities and must use a doggie wheel harness on the rear legs. For more info search "IVDD dachshunds" on KZbin. Just after the accident, Scooter is very slow and wobbly.
