guy fails to mention is that the clips are directional. If you lay them on a flat surface you should notice the legs bend away from the plane of the circle. The legs need to face so they bend away from the pin else they can be snapped off.

Hi! Love your videos, assembling My mhr kit as i am typeinformasjon this😂 Just wondering, do you have ant tips for getting those C Clips inside of the piston? You make it look very easy, byr i am struggling a bit. And also i have a 21 mm carburator and a full polini clutch and variator with 6.5g, going to run it with a stage 6 exhaust sinne the malossi mhr exhaust dont fit. Do you have any idea what size jet i should try out?
@scooterstreetau
@scooterstreetau Жыл бұрын
Thank you🙌. Fit the transmission side circlip into place before mounting the piston on the conrod. If you have a flat blade screwdriver of te small size, you can cut a small groove into the tip so it creates an area that the circlip will fit into. Use the screwdriver to gently press the circlip in to place. I hope this makes sense👍 For the jet if you are running a POD filter tart with a 110 main jet and move leaner as required, don't be impatient and try every jet size as you lean it off don't skip. engine must be warm..

Nice job Brad.👍 If you ever change a Euro 4 Piaggio to run a normal Dellorto carb without all the sensors and air injection, I would love to see how you go about it. I think in the future it will be something people will do. A bit like the Aprilia ditech conversion when it breaks. Keep the videos coming. 👌

Very great and detailed video, been waiting for it some time now! As a question, why did the customer opt for Air Cooled instead of getting the zip SP2 front and Liquid Cooled? Is it because of personal preference, to save money?

@oliverbabic7982 2 жыл бұрын
I'm also interested in that, because I have an AC machine so I want to know is it worth changing to LC
@scooterstreetau
@scooterstreetau 2 жыл бұрын
@@oliverbabic7982 Thats a great question. He didn't want to spend the money is the short answer. One of our team has done an 'SP' liquid cooling conversion to an air cooled Zip quite successfully previously. We even have a parts list here to do the single swing arm SP front end conversion too, just waiting on a candidate to step forward! If and when we do one, we'll definitely film it!
@scooterstreetau
@scooterstreetau 2 жыл бұрын
@@oliverbabic7982 It is, the difference is dramatic. There are a couple things you have to work around - however the AC chassis still even has the radiator mounts, so the conversion can be done easily using factory parts, where there aren't better aftermarket ones available. The big key we've found in the past is if you go for an electric water pump, make sure you keep the thermostat in the head to slow the flow (Unfortunately the AC engine casing doesn't support the bearings for the factory water pump). Electric pumps often flow so quickly that the coolant doesn't spend enough time in the radiator to adequately cool down. I suspect even Malossi have had this issue on the C-One, as they have developed a special liquid pump controller which adjusts the flow rate of their electric pump according to heat sensors and some manual controls. If you're lucky enough to own a genuine Zip SP, the factory water pump doesn't have any of these issues.

Hi I’m about to order a 70cc cylinder for my sr 50 r 2020 and was wondering which one you would recommend. I’m not planning on changing the crank shaft or carb. I already have a cdi and the price of the cylinder does not really matter, just trying to push as much power as possible with stock crank and still be kinda reliable. I was thinking about something like a stage 6 race/ sport pro, mhr rep

I know it's hard know what to say on videos but.....Did I miss something or did you not set the ring gap?! Every cylinder kit needs this or ring expansion causes it to seize or break! Or can. Pre ignition - ignition too early for a few reasons. Detonation - ignition becomes explosion ie burns faster than sound. Too big carb or race pipe won't cause seizure if jetted right. I used an mhr pipe and 21mm phbg on a tuned standard cylinder for ages......all of 11-12 bhp at 11000rpm!

Hi Brad I’m struggling with my gilera stalker 2T I have installed the 70cc malossi kit the Leo vince TT exhaust 5.7G rollers changed the reeds and I have the red sponge with snorkel out. My main issue is with jetting I just can’t get it right I started on an 82 the bike spluttered and didn’t want to go very well so I went to an 80 and it was still running too rich and fouling up the plug with black oily spuge same with the exhaust tip. So I’m now on 72 and it’s still not right. Do you have any idea on what jet size I should try next because I just want to get it right before I damage my scooter again I think it could possibly be over oiling is there any adjustments to the oil pump I can make? Any help would be much appreciated cheers!

At a guess I would say you'll probably end up with somewhere around an 85 - 90 jet with that carb. It depends highly on what exhaust you have on the bike. A basic exhaust like a Leo Vince TT will be on the smaller end, and conversely a more performance orientated exhaust like a Yasuni R will be on the upper end.
