Say what you all want about Richard, if nothing else, he is a loving guy to his family. Yeah he’s dumb, but in a way that’s tolerable and cute, and he’s good for comfort, which was the kind of person Nicole needed in her life with the insane expectations her parents had for her

The sad thing is...there are REAL parents in the world who behave like Nicole's. Specifically, there are parents who punish their child for getting anything lower than an A. Imagine seeing a dad beat their child for getting a B+ on a project

The Choices hits too hard. My wife's parents didn't show up to our wedding either because they had "better things to do". Then 3 years later they went to her sister's. Nothing was worse than watching my wife repeatedly having to reapply her makeup because she wouldn't stop crying. It's been years and I still refuse to acknowledge their existence.

I’ve been waiting for this episode ever since you’ve been trashing on Nicole and Richards relationship. Now you understand why they love each other. Nicole gave Richard experience in life and Richard taught Nicole to live her life I do wish you noticed that Nicole was pregnant with gumball BEFORE they got married, there are almost no cartoons that show that happening.

I see so much of nicole in me....I had strict and controlling parents and was the kid who was always afraid of their own shadow because of it. Never stood up for myself and always did what was asked of me. But I met my now husband. Hes easy going and told me to be confident in myself. Not because of him, but because he saw it in me. Weve been together for 12 years. Sometimes having your opposite is whats nessesary to bring perspective to yourself.

I saw somewhere that the episode with Nicole’s parents prove to show that Nicole is Asian because her parents seem to like “strict tiger Asian parents” meeting no mistakes, Nothing can ever good enough or just good absolutely nothing other than perfection. I’m not Asian, but I have heard a lot of stories where tiger parents have so many expectation for their kids, that it ends up, causing a strain between them. And that might’ve been what happened with Nicole and her parents right there she left because the argument and fighting with her parents got too far beyond repair.

@@TailsClock I said that this is what people on the internet have been saying I never said that this is what I said and that I have heard stories, what I was saying that it didn’t matter what Nicole was, the relationship with her parents was beyond repair, they expected a lot from her, maybe too much. And it seemed like no matter what she did it was never good enough for them. What I am saying is that No one should have to go through what Nicole went through. I could have worded it better and on my part I apologize, but I’m not seeing this as a race thing, there are many parents out there that are just like Nicole’s and sometimes they are worse.

Scoot, that episode is why you got to put respect on Richard, you think you can get Nicole but you seriously can't. Richard is a perfect balance of what Nicole needs in her life, someone who is lazy, and dumb at times. But not completely a dumbass like lets say later season patrick from spongebob. He's just the right amount of stupid to keep her on her toes but also compentent enough to atleast keep the kids alive when shes gone and also do stuff though in a dumb way or minimal. Like when he prepared those veggies in the beginning of the ep or that episode about getting mayo.
