"The Shippening" has always been one of my favorite episodes. I just love all the fanfiction references and the way they made Sarah the catalyst of everything. But I have to say that some of those ships were pretty cursed. I mean, Richard and Felicity? I wish I could unsee and forget about it...

I don't agree that Darwin is smarter than Gumball. It's true that Darwin quite often acts like the voice of reason, but I think that's mainly just because he has morals while Gumball doesn't, not because he's smarter.

Gumball is smarter. His ego is just bigger which leads him to make stupid decisions. Gumball is a quick thinker and witty. Darwin has higher eq and not as big of an ego.

Well... Gumball may not be that much bright, but he does have some smartness. And he is smarter than Darwin, actually. His sarcasm and cynicism makes him to be quite perceptive, while Darwin's innocence makes him completely gullible to the point of being easily manipulated by others, especially Gumball. Have you forgotten about the episode "The Bus", where Gumball was the only one to realize that the "kidnappers" were actually the kids' parents and Principal Brown, while Darwin thought they were real?

But in the episode "The Society" of S3 Darwin and Banana Joe implied that in their universe it was obvious that if a character put a box or a sock on his head, no one would believe that he was someone else, really throughout the series many things like that are contradicted, including Darwin's intelligence, which in some episodes is X, and in others, out of nowhere he is infinitely more stupid. Just like in another episode (from S6 itself) it is shown how Darwin is not only not so manipulable, but he is very good at resolving conflicts and does not appear to be a fool at all.

Sarah being an accurate representation of the shameful weird side of fandoms is a riot. Very accurate she wrote a ship of gijinka versions of Gumball and Darwin.. They tried to cushion the curse of it by making Gumball a girl but the fact would have stilled remained that Dawin is marrying his adopted brother ... though we've already seen this fantasy before and technically more cursed than that. Remember the episode "The Dress" where Gumball wore his mom's wedding dress and Darwin fell inlove with him in the most creep way possible .. and that nightmare scenario Gumball had of Darwin demanding to have more children with him while taking care of their 20 babies. lmao Also if you didn't know, Gijinka is basically creating personified/human versions of non-human things and characters. You've probably seen random "human" versions of Pokemon on the internet. That's gijinka. I dunno if you've seen it but you should check out the "Gumball anime." It's just one video of some scenesfrom the show but everyone is redesigned in this good looking anime form that's cute and keeps true to the source material.

Honestly while Darwin seems to make smarter decisions he’s not really smarter than Gumball if anything he’s just less impulsive. Gumball has shown multiple times that he has some level of high intelligence like when he scored a perfect score on his placement test. Like you said before he is witty which requires some intelligence he’s just impulsive

I love Sarah episodes, I think the Shippening was her last major role, I know she gives off creepy vibes but from the essence of this show she is super adorable and she isn't really a stalker anymore, she just loves Gumball and Darwin but knows that they have relationships and she hasn't even sabotaged either of them nor has hurt Penny or Carey, so Sarah can be pretty misunderstood. Either way those ships weren't hers (in the context of the episode it was hers) but they were based on the fandom's ships and those OCs that popped up in the episode are from the fandom's as well, I don't think the creators actually thought of any of those ships and used them lol

finally got to the bit where I start to resent darwin. In season 6, his character just fell off hard, he's either really stupid or just average and doesn't really add much to the plot when he used to be the clear funniest character. They made the dude dumber than rigby
