Something interesting, out of the comics: Big Mac, while being just "yep" and "nope" outside, has all the complex thoughts inside. So i imagine how he felt when Apple Bloom asked if AJ is the best apple ever.

These three becoming notable figures in their hometown. So happy for them. I LOVE the little detail of _Princess Luna_ showing up to see the photo. She was like their counselor in some parts so it made me so happy to see she was still invested in their cutie mark journey. I know why Celestia got the photo, given the CMC have also learned lessons, but Luna joining in added joy to my viewing experience.

I really like "Brotherhooves Social" We don't often get a chance to see Big Macintosh shine, but this episode more than does him justice. I also like that everyone recognized him immediately, but they were all willing to just go with it. "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" is one of the most pivotal episodes of the entire series for obvious reasons. It is a beautiful culmination to an arc that has been building since the first season. I'm also so happy that this happens in the middle of the series instead of waiting until the very end. The designs for the CMC marks are really clever. The shield shape seems to show up in marks that are related to helping or protecting others, like Shining Armor's mark. The background colors are a combination of the colors of their manes. The purple shape in each mark represents the three pony races: Scootaloo has a wing to represent pegasi, Apple Bloom has an apple to represent Earth ponies, and Sweetie Belle has a star to represent unicorns (stars often appear in marks for magic-based talents). The smaller pink shape represents the three of them as individuals: The lightning bolt represents Scootaloo's love of speed, the heart represents Apple Bloom's compassion, and the note represents Sweetie Belle's musicality. It's fantastic.

@shadamyandsonamylover it's not a wild take, it was actually talked abou by Peter New, the voice of big macintosh. Not to mention the moment in season 5 ep 3 "do princesses dream of magic sheep?" , when big mac is told the can be ANYTHING, he immediatly turned into princess big Mac, even with a higher pitched, more fem voice. The reason big macintosh almost never speaks is because she hates her masculine voice. Notic how big mack said more words in one episode as orchard blossom then she did in the rest of the show as big mac? That's because being orchard blossom was the most comfortable she has ever felt.

I do love how (almost) everyone instantly knew who Big Mac was and just thought "eh, I see the point. I guess we'll roll with it." It's a nice change from other cartoons where, even as bad as the male characters usually are at pretending, no one figures it out until the big reveal.

That scene with Big Mac opening up to Apple Bloom has always been one of the most emotional scenes in the entire show for me TwT (also so how do we tell him that was Diamond Tiara's last speaking role and meaningful role of the entire show? ._.)

And here it is..... First we have what could so easily have been a cringy attempt at "Haha, dude in a dress!" humor, that ended up being an amazingly sweet, wholesome look at a character who we rarely get to truly understand what they are thinking about. No one mocks Big Mac or laughs at him, or treats him at all odd for dressing and acting like a mare, and what jokes or "Seriously?" he gets are entirely of the "You know you aren't fooling us, right?" type. Then we get that amazingly heartfelt scene between him and Applebloom at the end and it is just.... *Chef's kiss*. Especially love how despite all this, at no point does he ever seem to resent Applejack for any of this, he loves her just as much as Applebloom does... he just, wants to feel appreciated now and then too. So dang great. Then we have the big one.... hooves down one of only two contenders for "most beloved episode of the show". We finally see the end of one portion of the CMC's journey... in a way no one saw coming yet, is utterly brilliant. While also getting us to feel sorry for, understand, and ultimately cheer for Diamond Tiara of all Ponies. Yeah, one of the best episodes of the show.

Congrats once Scoot, For you have witnessed one of the greatest moments of the CMC's arc the episode where they finally got their cutie marks! So many people were so proud of the CMC's they finally fulfilled their series long goal, Though I can remember some people thinking that season 5 was far too early in the series for the CMC's to get their cutie marks, At least in terms of character development. But I love the episode I even loved that Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon finally reformed however they kinda just faded into the background after this episode. As for "Brotherhooves Social" I found it to be both weird and kinda touching at the same time. Because on the one hoof seeing Big Mac dressed in drag like Bugs Bunny was weird, But on the other hoof it was really sweet that Big Mac just wanted to spend time with Apple Bloom and wanted her to look up to him again.

I really like the clues in the episode that show Diamond Tiara’s talent is being bossy or spoiled, even if she is those things lol, but that she has a talent as a leader. She notices qualities and attributes of ponies that can be useful and she helps them see their potential in those parts of them that they didn’t expect. Only in this episode, did she finally realize the positive sides of her power and personality, allowing her to notice that power doesn’t have to equal condescension. This was a perfect episode. The cutie mark crusaders easily choosing to help their biggest adversary, changing her for the good and helping her realize the true potential of herself and her cutie mark, and pushing them to realize that helping others with their mark was more fulfilling than finding their own, leading them to get their own??? 😙👌 literally chefs kiss episode right here.

OKOK HERES SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT EPISODE 18! these are mainly about lyric changes in the songs and honestly in my opinion make the songs more meaningful. but some are just interesting 1. in Pony I want to be, she was originally supposed to say when it showed her cutie mark "I have this mark on my flank that I don't understand, I thought that I had it all the whole world my command. No matter how hard I try it just all feels the same. I wanna feel others joy and not just ashamed" and then goes back to the chours and its pretty much the same as the original from there. 2. in Light of your cutie mark (the chase song) When diamond says "you don't understand the meaning of my fall. What my family would think if i ever fail at anything" she was originally supposed to say "What my family will do" 3. In we'll make our mark (reprise/ the last song in the episode) Rainbow dash was supposed to say "I'm so proud of you little sister" instead of "little buddy" These are from early demos of the songs which you can listen to just by searching the titles of the song + demo. A lot of early demos of MLP songs were uploaded by a youtube channel called "MLP Music Demos" Some of the demos are honestly better than the finals in the show.

If you remember back in Season 3 they did the same thing, with first seeing Spike handling the pets as the Mane6 go off to the Crystal Empire and then we see the Mane6's adventure in the Crystal Empire. Well, ok, there is a bit of a debate on that one seeing as some airings spaced out those two episodes. Here, this is the order: The big sisters go on an adventure, and then we see the consequences of that. 04:50 - I kinda love this act, but definitely love their faces. ...not so much the rest of it... 05:00 - Nah, behind the mic he puts on a voice. Find a video of him and you'll hear his true voice. This episode was pretty good, except for all the cringe in the middle... But that last scene, I realized what this was sort of going for. A little bit of a gender reversal, but I got the feeling of war soldiers with families. A father or brother, they've done their service, they build a family, the younger/st looks up to this "awesome guy who protects them"; a "super hero"! The downside is that they can be called at any minute and have to miss out on some kind of event in the kids' lives (school play, ball game, trip to disneyland, etc), and not knowing when the "hero" of the family will be back, if at all. 13:30 - Loosing argument there... X) 15:34 - BuuuuuuUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnn 15:47 - Considering Lauren Faust was behind both shows, one can draw enough parallels to put them in the same universe. XD 18:48 - That face spread FAR and WIIIIIIDE! And the faces only get wilder as the seasons progress. 21:16 - That there is MORE than elbow grease. Before they just had a slide, few swings, small stuff... THIS EPISODE! OH MY SWEET CELESTIA was this episode an emotional rollercoaster! Good start, frustration, satisfaction, feeling unexpectedly sorry for somepony, worry, pride, sorrow, and crying happy tears. People lost their everything! With the number of musical numbers in this episode it was kind of hinting towards something big. People were actually predicting this was The Episode they'd finally get it, and were not... quite... disappointed. Some people were actually disappointed in how similar they were. They were hoping for something more unique rather than the CMC Shield for all of them. So lets review, shall we? Scootaloo - her wings be buzzing lightning fast, even if she cannot fly. Some early art gave her a wheel with a lightning bolt. Sweetie Belle - she was the one that starting humming the CMC theme when they were fixing up the tree house, and did most of the lyrics. Beautiful singer, but she did not want to sing in front of a crowd. Although there was this one dream she had of auditioning for singing. Apple Bloom... Apple... Bloom... Blooming heart... Well, she was the one who founded the CMC in a way. "Now that we're all friends, how about we form a club? How about The Cutie Mark Crusaders!" She was also the one who had the heart to go after Diamond Tiara and forgive. Thus the heart in the apple; the heart of the club, and a big enough heart to forgive all that bullying.

Yellow - applejacks hair and freckles, big mac’s hooves and freckles, and apple blooms body Orange - applejack’s body, Big mac’s hair, And apple bloom’s eyes Red - big mac’s body, apple bloom’s hair, and applejack’s cutie mark and hair tie (not sure if those count) And partly green because applejack and Big Mac both have green eyes
