These transformation guides have been very helpful I used it as well as reading the instructions to transform my Dx Chogokin YF-19

Thank you for the step-by-step process, luckily, the latest release (2024) is still similar to those two versions you have 😱 Without this vid, I would’ve broken this thing before I even fully transformed it once!

Not having transformed mine for a few years, this is a much needed refresher. Thank you!

UPDATE: After a couple more transformations, the slider for the torso now slides a teeny tiny bit farther allowing that top button to come all the way down in battroid mode on the DX YF-19. So, if you have a bit too much pressure up top, work on that torso slider for a bit and you should be able to get that extra millimeter of extension you need.
@OptionZero4 жыл бұрын
Seeing this issue described and transforming it for the first time, i think there is a way to check. The "backpack" is on a sliding mechanism that is visible from the inside, if you shine a light you can tell if the backpack is fully extended. The "pegs" that slide on the rail should go all the way down to the bottom of the rail, but the final couple millimeters is on a detent, it appears. Minor pulling pressure was enough to get it past that last click, then you know it is fully extended. As the video states, you should easily be able to clear the top of the torso and close the trap door and peg into the final tab behind the head.

Mine clicked into place at the very top of the slider, so I think there's probably a detent in there

I just received the 2023 reissue of the YF-19. I have the same issue with the locking panel behind the head in Battroid mode. All the joints were crazy stiff - to the point that I thought I may break the hips when swinging them back down after using the locking mechanism.

Thank you for this tutorial!! I just recently received my Full Set Pack YF-19 and I love it. However, because it is so brand new, trying to pry apart some of the pegs is extremely frightening. Watching your video is so much better than attempting transformation with the instruction manual. I'm so fearful of breaking something.

I got mine yesterday via an Amazon retailer (u$s400). Head laser was fine and I have the issue with Battroid mode and that cover in the back was popping out. The solution is to first lock that cover and then close the chest down until it clicks and it never pops out again.

very similar to HG YF-19 bandai

I had just participated in a Tough Mudder and had a few scrapes and bruises. No cats in my house.

Great job! Will you make a tutorial on battleroid to fighter transformation?
@ScorchedEarthToys6 жыл бұрын
Yes! Working on the full review now, battroid back to fighter will follow later but it will probably be a few weeks from now as I'll have just done three DX 19 videos in a row so people will want a change of pace.

So, if you push the feet back in without disconnecting the filler panel for the inside leg, is there a risk of the part breaking, or will it come free automatically?
@ScorchedEarthToys6 жыл бұрын
No harm at all, you can have battroid mode with the ankles recessed, the only downside is that if you push on that panel it will recess and make the door above it look funky. I think you'd have to push really forcefully to put anything at risk.
@lorcannagle6 жыл бұрын
It's more clear how it works after reading this and looking at your full review video. For some reason I thought the panel was on an arm that moved in unison with the foot being extended, rather than a spring and catch.

Are there any significant design differences between the VF19 and YF19 (not solely in articulation but in terms of symmetry, roundness, edges, sharpness of paints and tempos, etc/)
@ScorchedEarthToys6 жыл бұрын
Full review is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHLTlHl7e82cjZY - there are lots of differences in tampo painted detail but that's about it.

hey scorchedearthtoys do not fully collapse the chest onto the nose for the lock mechanism on the back of the neck. i think its a issue on the YF19 that i have tried many times why it isnt locking into place and have found out that if you leave a small gap while collapsing the chest onto the nose it should resolve and lock into place.
@ScorchedEarthToys6 жыл бұрын
I have transformed my toy a few more time since doing this guide and the button on top now locks into place. As best as I can tell, the issue is with the sliding mechanism in the YF-19 just being too tight a fit. A few transformations loosened it up enough to slide maybe another mm and that made all the difference.
@astastya58814 жыл бұрын
I think the reverse process is far more complicated. I spent like two hours to tranform yf19 back to fighter mode on the first time
@OptionZero4 жыл бұрын
Late to the party, but i would 100% recommend everyone loosen up those hip joints. It really is 2 layers of 2 screws, very easy. You may need a small phillips and an even smaller phillips, since one screw is smaller than the rest. I would not trust that hip joint as to last in the state it comes in out of the box - something's gonna crack as you try to rotate it. Way, way too tight from the factory.
