Outrageously expensive but still bought them three years ago and still unboxed sealed new, also bought the yellow. Not planing to do anything with them because the transformation is a pain in the ass

11:42 on the contrary, I think the Gakken version got a lot of things right that the modern ones don't. The boots really are about that big in the cartoon. The trapezius area pieces are also better.

I have been struggling to transfer from rider mode to bike mode, the beagle version. If you can make a video, is it just me having a tough time ? I still not able to do it. So I let Randy stay in armor figure on my desk for three years.

i am glad I got them i think the base figures have the best proportions of all ride armor toys, but I am also missing the lack of Gallant gun. also I like to have many figures of the same scale so 1/12 FTW.

Sold my Beagle Ray years ago. Much happier with my Riobot Stick. Really hope we get Rook, Lancer, and Black Vers soon.

I just bought this from BBTS and it came yesterday. My right arm keeps falling off just below the shoulder, and my left knee power armor connection peg falls out just like the host's right, and my left headlight/shoulder ball joint is really sloppy and loose. I thought with this being a later release that some of these QT issues would have been resolved. My first attempt at transformation was an absolute nightmare, and I thought the Arcadia YF-19 was hard!

Just got both from BBTS, they are literally the only place online that has them. AmiAmi in Akihabara had some cyclones last month, but I do not think that theybwere the same as these. Very bad ass. I stand corrected HLJ has them in stock for 173 US and some change.

This is so anime accurate. The only gripe is the non translucent helmet visor and the strange looking headlights.

...Beagle is easy to transform. Only issue I have is the yellowing white plastic (toynami version). You want something HARD to transform, then that would be Gcreations Shuraking.

you can find older releases for less but they're also much less bang for your buck. When considering just the best toys, the Beagle/Toynami Masterpiece generally costs a little more than the Sentinel.

Nice review bro! I'm stoked to get mine soon. That said, I'm not a fan of the wheel being covered by mudguard in cyclone/ride armor (mech) mode. I dont see the need to change things up that much where the eye is drawn, the helmet, gigantic wheels, color of armor, ect. How come no comparison with Toynami Masterpiece? I figured you'd have that in your video for sure. Or is the Beagle the same thing, just rebranded? I do like the Sentinel overall tho, but I like the "look" of the Toynami Masterpiece more. I need to see a review on that

My beagle's white parts yellowed. I even kept it in room temperature storage. WTF. Oh well. I did replace the red undersuit with a custom that I made, but painting the yellowed parts is a little harder. The paint I used is chipping. Sigh.

The Beagle toy had several parts made of POM which is notorious for not holding paint well (I couldn't tell you which ones). If you can disassemble the parts, there are allegedly peroxide baths that can whiten yellowed plastic but if there's any paint it will likely strip the paint off. I haven't personally done this.

Surprisingly the peroxide bath failed... Never had that happen before. So I disassembled it (every white piece) and painted them. But the paint chips easily... So, I'm thinking of taking it apart again, then sanding the white parts lightly, then painting them. What do you think? I also have several red under suit spares. Need to post a video with them, but they're better then the original in my opinion.

Very well executed review. It’s a shame the redesign is so awkward looking; the clean lines of the original with added detail would have been great, but a lot of the changes, like the opaque helmet with the lines forming a goofy mustache face and the oversized forearm missile launchers, are just inexplicable. Too bad the companies doing third party Transformers masterpiece toys haven’t taken a shot at this design; it seems like it would sell considering how fast this and the Toynami/Beagle versions sold out and shot up in value.

Everything but the stupid jack o lantern etched into the helmet. And the chin part of the helmet looks to chunky compared to the art work. The color is also more green than the light ghost grey used in the original design

No stickers, no engine block, not worth the asking price. I would get these and leave them in Ride Armor mode and never touch them again if they were $50 or more less. It's a shame they didn't make the Yellow and Fuke versions for the Beagle/Toynami ones.
