MI is the best because he embodies meaning. It’s not all about blowing you out of the water but it’s about the timelessness the meaning and the art for life in it while blowing you out of the watcher at thesame time. It’s just like when Fela says (water no get enemy)

Steve to give you some context, some parts of the song(the first verse precisely) is a reply to a rapper called Milli. Milli used to be under Chocolate City, same label MI was in(he has his own now) when he rose to become President(or VP, can't remember). Milli came on twitter to blast M that he was subduing him and his sound, and wanted Milli to be more 'street'(aka commercial). He would add that MI made him lose a collab with one of biggest act in Nigeria/Africa: Wizkid, and prioritized other artists over him while he was in the label. He claimed M didn't even allow him make a freestyle series to stay relevant. Milli claimed to have been hit hard mentally by that experience(and even this song after listening to it) and made him lose relevance(he didn't drop any project in the years he was in CC), considering M was his idol. He's retired from music now. Or so his bio says. Milli dropped a song called 'Unlooking(Original version)' where he said: "teach me how to make some fucking wealth//don't teach me how to be somebody else". (referencing when M tried making him change his sound). MI not being a good label boss is something that's widely known. He's known to have poorly managed/handled a few acts including, but not limited to, Brymo, Koker(arguably), Dice Ailes(arguably), Pryse(female rapper) and even Jesse Jagz. The only outlier has been Blaqbonez. This is something Vector referenced in his diss song Judas The Rat("How is it that you're the only one surviving as an artist?....the only light in the story is Blaq!"). MI has come out to defend himself a few times and even taken shots at Milli(for example, this song you've reviewed and on Trinity ft. AQ, he said: "I'm hands off o' you nigga, carry your own baggage//If I ain't want you to shine you would be gone, banished Finished, famished, you showed me how sinister man is//You're on your own now but no motion, can't figure mechanics? What you gon' tell 'em this time? Who you gon' blame for the damage?") He's also done interviews to clear the air and exonerate himself from different situations. M said Milli allowed friends talk hate into his heart which made him(Milli) feel he was not been given enough attention(this is also referenced in the last bars of this song, Everything). He talked about how he paid millions for a music video for Milli but he didn't show up to set, only for M to turn it into a music video for Koker(another CC artiste). But every act who has had a fallen out with him said varied things about him. So there, a bit of context.
@victoryokoro56973 жыл бұрын
Okay... Thanks for trying to make M.I look bad again... Clap for yourself... Now I may not be well detailed as you are... But this are my points... How is M.I the only surviving artists from his circle.... Did ice prince not blow... Jesse blew too... Brymo blew... AQ... Still toping.... You remember mohits... How many of the old artists that blew under mohits are still trending now? Dbanj? Wande? D.Prince? K.switch? You know EME... How many of then are still Popping... Generally... How many of the superstars that have once ruled the industry are still there now? The question you are supposed to be asking is this... Did these guys under M.I have their field day.... Jesse's first album blew... He was predicted to be the next hip-hop legend back then... Ice won the BET.... Brymo blew massively... Etc They all had their shine... Even M.I isn't purely mainstream currently... If not that he always influences the culture every single time by dropping controversial tracks... Like "you rappers should fix up your life" and his beef with Vector... Under M.I blaq had his time... AQ won a headies award last year... Would you have known AQ as much if he wasn't with M.I Only milli... I can't say what really happened to him... I think some times we need to be fair to those trying to do good to others... When someone does alot, his only mistakes are obvious... That's why it seemed like M.I did Jags bad... M.I helped alot of persons in the industry... BUT HE AIN'T GOD... HE CAN'T DEFINITELY KEEP EVERYONE UP THERE... DESTINIES DIFFER Another question for you... Since they all left M.I "the devil", "the bad record label boss".... Where are they now... What wave are they making... They all did better when they were with him... #I am a tribes man, I would try to keep M.Is legacy standing...

Hey mate, this note is directly to you. I am a non subscriber but a regular watcher of your review. I wish not to subscribe because I see that you are a bit stuck in your ways. Well, gladly, you said it in one of your reviews that you belong to the old rapper stuck in your punch lines.. that was a true confession right there. My point is, what you must learn is that African rappers particularly Nigerian rappers don't use dig slangs, they speak in good English, particularly their vocabulary choices. The fans are crazy about this. You make music to appeals your fan base and as you can observe, Nigerians are music lovers and it Is huge fan base. My advise is simple, try to be more open, a reviewer who doesn't like your kind of rap might score you low, that doesn't mean you deserve that. Every score is subjective and that is a fact. Remember you will offend many of your fans with your scores, I am not one of them.. I will keep watching and would subscribe when I notice you shine your ways a little. Off point, be careful not to loose Nigerians subscribers, you will do that the day you offend M.I. lol.
