The plate you thought was Limoge, WAS Limoge. Limoge has a very interesting history which you should read up on. It's different than any other china. Basically Limoge made the blank pieces and they were decorated by other companies and artists, and some were actually painted as hobby pieces by wealthy Victorian women. The plate could easily have been worth quite a bit, or not much, but the Havilland pieces are definitely worth taking a shot on, since they were almost certainly part of a pattern. The hobby pieces generally are valued by the individual beauty of the pieces.

Also there's not an interest in collecting and keeping anything long term anymore. Value may not be considered when you just "don't want a lot of stuff." The minimalism trend is in full swing right now.

That dollhouse reminds me of something my dad would've brought home, saying, "I found this dollhouse kit, you can try putting it together," which greatly improved my crafting skills as a kid. Often making it is more fun than playing with it.

Why do I have to ask my Goodwill to wrap the fragile glass and ceramics every time I go? The prices are so high, they could wrap in gold leaf paper and still make huge profits!! And they kind of act pissed if you ask too! C'mon Madison, WI stores. Train your cashiers!!

The green lided bowl was great, but too bad chipped! That's Mama's potato salad bowl! I've never seen the lid before. And, you're right about a bird making everything better! I gave my grandmother a mobile with hand carved/painted birds when I was in college (30 years ago, gasp). She passed, and I am still heartbroken! The mobile thread had dry rotted, so I just had the birds. Now, there is one of her birds in every floral arrangement in my home. I love them, and I smile everytime they catch my eye!

I remember seeing the Hignway men set up on the sides of the road as a kid. I didn't trace it though, for over a year it hung on my wall then I finally traced the name. Ive got three nice pieces just using my eye. Im in North Carolina.

Here’s the thing about brass. I’m a brass lover. I love all the brass things! My Father in Law has over 300 hundred pieces. Resellers are buying it all right now, but are having a hard time selling it because they have to ask so much. Me, as a collector am not willing to spend 20 dollars on a piece unless it’s something really amazing. I know that everyone keeps telling you to buy the brass, but I really don’t think the average person is going to pay 20+ for a little brass figure. Just my thought. Don’t let people push you into picking it up. Go with your instinct, because it always leads you in the right direction.

Your Goodwill has better prices than mine does. I'm an artist and one day I found a art piece that had a great mat and frame, cheaper than if I had purchased just those pieces. The painting, I believe was w/c. I walked away but thought about it all day and night and went back the next day, it was still there. I purchased it, did some research and found that it was worth $500.00. My ex stole it from me.

I came home with a basket full of stuff there including very expensive cutting board, a box of salt n pepper shakers a Roseville pitcher and some more!! We also picked up the green canister but if you looked closer the knob on top looked like it was a marble glued to it. We didn’t even notice the chip but that topper made me put it back!! Also picked up those pretty cups that said Cherry on the bottoms. They were pretty and unique. So cool!!! What day did you go?

02:35 I like Old Britain Castle, but yeah, probably not worth it for just two plates. 03:16 Such acrylic. Very primary colours. 04:08 Homer Laughlin Pokémon! Gotta catch 'em all! 04:44 It works better when you wind it up. 😆 09:49 Aw, rats! That's a true parasol, meant to protect you from the sun and not the rain. I used to work with a gothy woman who used one every blesséd day to make sure her skin stayed pale. 10:14 Yay yay yay for someone who can help you decipher the signatures on all those Russian lacquer boxes! (And that is one killer of a cross-stitch piece.) 11:12 [expletive deleted]! That's an early Robert Montoya! He's a member of the Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, part of the larger Tewa group. He used to be an architect, but since retirement is exclusively an artist. His tribal name, the one he signs his art with, means "Fog Mountain." 13:26 But if everybody had their rights, that would have been a Fabergé egg. It's a gorgeous candle, and I woulda bought it. 13:38 Painted by someone who was infected with Grandma Moses. 14:27 And right next to it was a set of milk-glass bowls that went with a Sunbeam Model 7 Mixmaster. Dates between 1941 and 1948. 16:00 Oh, d**n! That's 1930s all day long and twice on Tuesday. I personally would have been tempted, chip or no chip. 16:40 That fabric would work up into a really groovy fall-themed tablecloth.

That double candlestick that you found interesting, I have 3 of them. I use them with my eapg Oatmeal pattern items. They go well. I like them.

Those Christmas trees up here in Canada sell for 75-100! I haven’t been able to find a white one myself but they are on so many wish lists of people I know

After watching your videos today, it felt like I got seasick. The camera was jumping all around and you were turning really quickly. It was really hard to watch today.
