The main thing I love about this is how on some arcades your really fast, it gives you an advantage against the ghosts, as long as your careful tho, make sure not to run into them at the wrong time

Yeah i remember how easy it is to squeak by ghosts in the speed-up version. I usually got somewhere around 260,000. It makes life much easier when you can run circles around them, especially in the Jr. levels where the damn power pellets only change direction!

Yeah, the speed looks intimidating at first but when you realize the ghosts move at the same speed they usually do and you’re flying around it’s way easier got over 100,000 on my first try.

If you like Pac-Man, try RandomPac. It has been made as faithful as possible to the original arcade version except that the mazes are created randomly (they are different every time) and it contains bonus levels. Download RandomPac from lowcarb.itch.io

You have to have some type of “speed chip” installed there might be an option in the diagnostic settings in later models though

I also own a fast Ms. Pac-Man arcade like yours and my score is 539280. I was shock that day when I took it that high and I guess I was having a good day but anyways, it took me 3 hours to get that score and my legs were getting tired.

The turbo version is considered cheating by most serious players... the second repeat of the junior screen (where Ms. PAC Man slows down) killed almost everyone and took a LONG time for even the best players to figure out. In turbo that is not a problem so turbo scores are really invalid...

connors piano - that must be the setting that makes money for the arcades. If you are playing on a Class of '81, there is a joystick sequence that will toggle the speed settings. I think it is left, right, left, right, left, right, up, up, up; then you press the Fire button. If the machine makes a sound similar to Ms Pac Man eating a fruit, then press Start. You should be playing your game at the opposite speed to what the operator set it to. I use this when playing Galaga, as all the machines seem to be set to fast shots which used to be fun, but is now no longer a challenge.
