If you want all the games in 2 small swoops, grab Splatterhouse for PS3 (the original 3 games are unlockable) and the Namcot collection on Switch (for the Famicom's SH:Wanpaku Graffiti).

Keep wheelin' and dealin'. You can't beat the trinitron--both in terms of literal WEIGHT and picture. Two easy recommendations are MarioKart 64 and the Resident Evil Remake from 2002. Mariokart 64 is just hilariously fun with a group and the battle mode is legendary but slept on. The 2002 RE remake defines a "quality" remake and is just incredible to see what they were able to accomplish then. Plus it's been ported to so many systems by this point, it's easily accessible.

Recommendation: Jak 2 and SSX tricky on the PS2. I remember playing both games growing up and had tons of fun with them. Jak 2 is a action platformer that was way ahead of its time IMO and SSX tricky had fun gameplay and an amazing soundtrack

Never heard of the Trinitron before but it looked near-perfect for playing old games and watching some tapes! My recommendation would be Resident Evil 4 - this game has always been one of my favorites (although Nemesis was my fav of the series) due to the great cast of characters, really well done story, and fantastic set pieces + locations! The gameplay of it is incredibly fun as well and is worth playing for that alone, which really shines in the Mercenaries mode where all you have to do is just rack up kill streaks on enemies with five characters to choose from! The replay value of this title has led to it being consistently kept installed on my computer for years now, even have over 100+ hours in it, not even counting my playtime on the wii port lmao. Damn writing all this makes me want to play RE4 brb
