In the 70's players smoked and drank beer for training. They learned their lesson against the Soviets.

lifting produces the best natural high.. take a look at Stammer's face at 3:28... dude is lit. and the end of the day there is no secret... only 2 words, progressive overload. always track what you lift and try to beat it next time out... if that's by increasing weight or increasing reps. if you hit a wall that means your body has adjusted and it's time to mix up the movements, but it's best to stick with compound freeweight movements. oh and of course nutrition, aim for 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight, low gi carbs, and healthy fats.

Roberts was a helluva of an all around player and clearly knows his stuff but Something was not right between what he and Stamkos were doing. Stamkos has been injured way to much throughout his career which clearly sucks because he is a great player and fun to watch.

Stamkos quickly bounced back from injuries that would often end a player's career. He's doing something right.

@@boltinabottle6307 Bounced back quickly is a strech and why was a player in the prime of his career injured so often?

Weird that Weiss had to retire early because of injury and Stamkos missing almost 2 complete seasons... might be a coincidence...or overtraining?
