Truly lovely work. The sounds are so deceptively fragile, almost vulnerable… thanks for taking us there

Thanks Brett. The Lyra is a beast but can be so fragile and subtle at moments.

thanks Ernie. There's not a huge amount to see. I've been steadily downsizing over the last couple of years. But maybe I could get into the details of what i do use. thanks for the idea!

Thanks fro sharing! Tuning is the biggest issue with the Lyria-8. All before getting to fun stuff. I am still learning how to work my microcosm (do you have a favorite preset start you prefer?). The looper seems handy but I haven't really found the sweet spot. Very small subtle moves on your knobs in your videos. I saw one YT Lyria-8 guys videos where he starts all videos with a yellow sticky showing the tuning which I find helpful. Or even some sort of starting knob pic over-view so us Lyra user can set our units up the same way to start then find our own rabbit hole from your starting point.

Thanks. Yes good idea about the tuning. When I’m making the vids I think it’s always in the back of my mind that if someone wanted to work out the tuning it’s totally possible. But, yes I should make it clear at the start. Will do! Re the microcosm - I do have favourites! You could probably work it out from my vids ;)

Beautiful! I always have trouble getting the highest 2 voices to sound useable, they are so harsh in upper register and hard to tune lower.

this is also a great demo of how frustrating the lyra is to tune 😆 so worth it though

totally, i was really tempted to but the unedited 9 min cut of me tuning it...

Do you think it would be possible to tune the Lyra 8 with the Mordax Data module?

Thanks. Not sure about the mordax. I’ve not heard of them.

@@Christopher.white_I'm a music theory noob. Which is the logis of this selection of notes? Taste? some intervals? Can a rule be applied so one can make variations? Thanks!
@Christopher.white_10 ай бұрын
It’s basically C harmonic minor without the 7th. Spaced over the 8 voices for taste.
