This theme music was composed by Wikluh Sky (Đorđe Miljenović), Serbian composer and versatile musician (from rap to punk rock) who also composed the soundtrack to Serbian film "A Serbian Film". He seem was the original composer for the game - but unfortunately his music wasn't included in the final version of the game for some reason - and the game's OST includes music by Aethek (who became the main composer since 2017) and Lustmord.

It finally dawned on me, Scorn guy’s appearance is reminiscent to Frank from 1987’s Hellraiser, especially after absorbing his first victim. The voting poles to the game’s inspiration are H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński which is just a slice of the pie. However as cited in an interview with Pelker on denofgeeks.com, “Giger and Beksiński aren’t the only influences on Scorn, according to the director, who says filmmakers like Alejandro Jodorowsky, David Cronenberg, David Lynch, Dario Argento, and John Carpenter are also major inspirations. Concerning the third arm, the body as it appears in the demo is similar, with the torso being the same but mirrored compared to how it appears in this trailer. I'm not sure if you're talking about the gashes on his chest, but those seem to be wounds. If you're talking about what appears to be a vertical line between his (for lack of a better term) ribs, then you might be onto something. On the demo model, it looks like it could open up like a sliding door and maybe there is an arm stored in there. Unfortunately, none of the Series X trailers gave us a good look at his body. Well, none of the trailers at all give us a proper look at his body but it's especially hidden in the most recent trailers.

Looks Great! But one criticism or maybe a question. You have such a liberating art direction that it's kind of disappointing imo that what game-play we see looks quite standard. I get the impression that this is going to be a kind of horror adventure with some fps combat on top, and I take the opinion that the surrealist art style is diminished somewhat by the arbitrary presence of shooter mechanics. I think that if this game is going to have combat like that it will makes its setting kind of silly. Surrealism is great for what meaning it conveys without intention, It's has the appearance of being meaningful but it isn't necessarily intended to have a specific meaning, it can have universal meanings. This is why this art style inspired by the likes of Giger etc is so great for creating something that appears alien. Because it can speak of the presence of a vastly different kind of culture and understanding, and that's the reasons the mystery of the alien ship in the first alien film for instance is so strange and gripping. It isn't just that the setting is using the recognizable traits we associate with what an alien might be, It is recognizable as something that contains a logic, and is the product of something with very different experience, it's alive so to speak but it is also a mystery and that mystery makes it's motivations suspect. So, when you have this art style and you place some recognizable FPS game-play on top it kind of breaks setting by making it into the playground for the action. I could be wrong, Indie games like Receiver change the mechanics of your typical FPS to make the FPS mechanics uniquely suited to the setting but will Scorn do the same? I don't think I am wrong is saying that the presence of guns in games is so common that it no longer really is anything, or its not useful for anything except to meet the expectation that a game, any game, should have them because that's what is expected of a game rather than because the game needs to be a shooter. So, why does this game have a guns? and if so why? I'm not talking about the existence of guns in the narrative or world alone but their existence in the game at all. Do you need them? and if so why are they there? otherwise I suggest design by subtraction. Ultimately your free to make whatever you want but If you haven't already go back and research the artists who inspired this games amazing art style. surrealist artists had interesting motivations for what they made, and if you make a game on their shoulders you should pay more attention to them, they will hold more value for you than other FPS games. That said you may already know this, and may already be making an amazing game. Some of the game-play in this trailer kind of suggests that but I thought I would still ask about it or whatever this comment is trying to do anyway. Again Looking Awesome!

Too bad almost none of the amazing things we saw in this trailer made it into the actual game. Damn shame. There was barely any outside environments to explore, and those that were could’ve had many of the elements we saw here, but didn’t. Seems like the setting for the game might be on a giant living spacecraft of some sorts. Everything is living, the guns, the floor, the walls and your equipment. It's just so damn fantastic.

Everyone is mentioning HR Ginger but Zdzisław Beksiński seems to be just as big an inspiration. This is super exciting, I am starved for a game with more interesting art direction and setting.

I really love the environment and artistic style. I will be looking forward to this even though I'm not really a fan of horror games. The style alone has sold me.
