Marta was special and hard to figure out ,but she did take care of the wild horses and feed them as needed . She worked very hard on the Opera house,mostly on her own ...

I forget when he moved out there, but Thomas Willett was out there until he passed away in the early 2000s. If you see videos of a man in the performances, that was him.

It is original the rooms are very old fashioned, I stayed there and took over 300 pictures in the middle of the night and didn't see anything. The opera house is beautiful inside the true story of how Marta ended up there is great.

BurkeDevlin66 yeah, best time would be November, it should be a nice 75 degrees. Definitely go. I wish I could have done a tour of the inside, but all the other you tubers already showed up hunting for ghosts and ruined it for everyone apparently. Beautiful little middle of nowhere town, beautiful hotel. If your in SoCal, head toward Vegas on the 15, stop at Baker (another awesome place) and head north on death valley road. Check out tecopah on the way, beautiful little hot spring!

It was worn down but not like any hotel I have ever stayed at! It was such a cool experience! I was shocked at the history of the hotel! Also the cafe had amazing home cooked food! I would gladly stay another night! You should too!

It's pretty expensive to paint a building that large, and it's only paint. This is in a place where the temp reaches >125F every year. No, unfortunately, I didn’t go inside except for the little cafe they had. A bunch of ghost hunting KZbinrs had already hit them up, and I think I read they had had enough of it.

I stayed three nights there in 8th grade as a special class trip saw a girl in a white dress standing at the foot of the bed the second night.

@@SurrealAdventure yes the other 2 girls in my room saw her too at different points over the night. They thought it was me because I'm the only blonde in the group. The next morning they asked me why I got up and I told them I didn't that I saw the girl too but thought I was just tired and seeing things. We all agreed that we saw a spirit freaked us all out. Ever since then I've been drawn more towards the paranormal and have had more experiences even when I was not seeking them.
