Thank you so much for this. My fiance ended our 8 year relationship last week abruptly with no real explaination by picking a fight then saying he was done in a pretty rude way. He was getting ready to go to his Winter place out of state. The next day I asked if we could talk and he refused leaving me with no real closure or understanding. None of it made sense at the time. We had a beautiful holiday season together. We spend 5 months apart in the Winter. I usually go out mid way but It's not my idea of what I really wanted with him but I made it work for him. I'm surprised at how I am reacting to this. What he did was very cowardly. I think he wanted to move there permanently and he knows I wouldn't want to live there, or perhaps there is someone else there. I don't know, but as you say, the truth hurts but I would rather have it. After all this time together it would have been the respectful thing to do. It is so crazy listening to this because this explains how I feel about politics.
