How to build the Scorpion Motorboat on Ark Survival Evolved, a PvP attack boat design. Raid others house, base, raft or motor boat in style.

Just a presentation suggestion, maybe show an overview of the boat, do the build, then show the boat in use. I often skip to the end to get a visual idea of the boat as it helps me build it. Anyways, great vid as usual.

I would love to see some Aberration builds. In particular I'm interested to see if there are some sneaky builds to counter climbing picks, glider suits, ziplines, and high jumping or climbing Aberration creatures.

1 rocket and the spikes are done. Also, unless you build to skycap someone can fly in with glider suits or use ziplines (or a climbing or jumping mount) to bypass the spikes altogether.

but you cliff platform in a high corner and rockets won't fly high enuff to hit it, and gliders won't have a higher surface to glide from and COMPLETLY line you base with spikes, make a circle around your base with spikes on the cave ceiling, and cave walls but i suppose someone could use a megalania or the second seat of a rock drake to get close to the spikes and the just throw c4 at them but i doubt anything will protect you form raiders that resourceful and dedicated

have you tried making a build on the paracer platform ? you can use max 32 parts. that makes it a bit more complicated. or how about building an ARK in ARK. big enough to hold 2 of each dino.

if you want to avoid the gap in the front, just place a pillar there on the fence foundation, before placing the windows, which will still be possible. structure limit:138 items. If you have a normal boat: 88, you can build this on a normal boat in the same way, but at the tail you will lack structures.

I know that a motor boat takes like 20+ hits from an alpha Leed to bring down, so its not much of a concern here. I'm still curious how long and how much ammo it takes two auto turrets to bring one down. I want to make an alpha hunting raft, but being in open water is a death sentence for normal boats.

HOC Acid I put 2 turrets off the back behind the hatch leading up to the mounted turrets and it makes the back way safer, just a thought

FakerTheThotSlayer yeah it’s already happening. I’m level 87 and the outskirts and beaches have become less of a challenge and meanwhile inland it’s still really hard especially the alphas. I’d really to do caves and mountains but I mostly just fly in quick grab and go before a Giga gets wise or overwhelmed with enemies. That’s why I hear online tribes and whatnot would aid me in this. PVP not so much.

Awesome build. I always build one of your expedition boats. Now I am going to have to build one of these. They seriously need to patch the collision detection for structures, to prevent clipping through. I get less annoyed by someone using c4 to blow a hole in the walls than I do by someone exploiting bad game physics.

@xONEWINGx man since I've gotten into Ark I always end up watching your videos for reference, you're a smart, creative guy. Subscribed. Btw there's one thing I've been doing differently and it still seems to work, please don't take this as criticism, but I was curious why you set your boats up so specific at first. I'm speaking on your method of sinking foundations with repeated pillar use etc. When I use a fence foundation, eyeball-centered on the mast, then the single pillar, and then later with foundations built under the roofs like normal, it just seems to look like my foundations are at the same height as yours and I was wondering if there's a reason you use your method, with it seeming more complex in that particular step Just learning

Using the fence foundation and pillar sinks it a level too far for my liking, its not such a big deal if you enclose the full 3x3 though. The entire top of the raft can take damage if you use the fence foundation instead of just the half square over the rudder with how I do it.

Mcbayne Rust yes, but it's much more durable and can outrun them, stay clear of alphas though they are still stupidly absurd.

i know this does not involve the video, but i need help. my causin recently got an xbox one. 1 of the games he got was ark. we have already played it and have been making alot of progress. the only problem is that the fov is kinda messed up. we are not able to see the stats that are normally on the rigth-bottom cornor. it seems that the fov is made it so something are off screen. i see that you also have ark on some type of console and that you fov is fine. so if you can help please let me know how to fix this. thanks in advance
