A clarification: the endings are canon. Bi-Han escaped, then freed Shao (and presumably Reiko). Shang used shapeshifting to free himself while Ermac busted Quan Chi out (due to falling apart and needing Quan Chi's magic to make themselves whole). That's now Shao is free in the story. Also Kuai Liang isn't perfect. During his chapter, he mentioned Cyrax and Sektor as being absolute loyalists to Bi-Han as the reason why he didn't want to become Grandmaster. But now we learn that, had he reached out for her, Cyrax would turn away. Basically Kuai Liang jumped the gun and Cyrax had no reason to doubt Bi-Han until that moment. So Kuai Liang is already demonstrating Scorpion's main trait, which is letting anger cloud his judgement. Now it makes more sense for him to become Scorpion.

So, regarding your question about General Shao escaping. If you beat classic towers mode, It tells you what happens to each character after the events of MK 1, including dlc characters. Hope that helps. Looking forward to your next letsplay!

@lostygirl The main tower endings that go into him escaping are: Shao, Reiko, and Kitana. Recommend watching those three endings in that order specifically. Gives a lot of details and also possible speculations of who the next villain may be.

Is it me, or did it seem a little out of character for Kuai to be ready to execute Cyrax? Don’t get me wrong attacking a wedding is bad, but at the same time she was just following orders from Bi-Han who is grandmaster, and Bi-Han literally confessed and it was clear that Cyrax was tricked and thought Kuai betrayed the Lin Kuei, and it’s not like Cyrax and the other members would love had confirmation before this dlc otherwise. Kind of feel like he was being somewhat narrow minded here.

@@Fighter_Z_9000 I’m glad you agree with me. It just felt too aggressive for Kuai Liang to act that way when he sees himself that Cyrax literally just learned the truth, and that she sided against Bi-Han.

@naeshaunedwards7731 For sure. I don't usually comment in videos like this. It just sucks because you get cool outfits when you complete the story and I absolutely like that, I also liked a couple of things they did here and there and I can totally understand what they were going for but wasn't executed properly and the story was just rushed. This Sektor and Bi-Han relationship came out of nowhere just like Jade and Kotal Kahn in MK11. There was no development from that at all, Titan Havik was yet another jobber villain and I thought I'd see Sub kicking some Havik butt only for the next scene to be captured and dragged. Also Empress Tanya didn't freed Orin at all and we don't know what happens to Titan Havik who got defeated somehow......MK powerscaling is trash ngl. They did way better in Part 1 up until Titan Shang Tsung and the whole Multiverse stuff. Without a doubt we'll see Part 3 and I don't think I should expect much but we'll see what happens.

Losty, I'm surprised you forgot about Shao's escape. Remember, in this MK game, ALL the characters' endings are canon (save for the guest ones). Remember that after Shao, along with Shang Tsung and Quan Chi were imprisoned, things still happened. Shao broke himself out, while Ermac freed Quan Chi (as Ermac regained control of his body from Jerrod, hence why he's not with Milenna). Shao continued his rebellion in the hopes of regaining outworld, but Kitana led her forces and defeated them. However, Shao escaped, and because Milenna's reign still left thousands of destitute people in Outworld, they were vulnerable and needed a reason for hope. Thus Shao simply recruited them into his militia, and by the time of this DLC, is in the process of rebuilding his army.

So far good start. I do think scorpion is being a bit harsh towards cyrax. But I feel like Liu Kang is being too easy on subzero and sektor.
