The Scorpions are actually from my hometown, Hannover in germany. My father used to jam with them in local garages and clubs here in the 70's :D

I really love this fig over the original. The 1st ninjas had a lot of QA issues, mine had a super awful arm socket, and the head peg for putting on the skull was super tight. I sold my 1st ed scorp when I got this, no regrets at all. The accessories are incredible as well, I hope they continue to do a few more of this (sub zero would be great, his v.1 effects were lame!)

Loose joints while animating is a nightmare... BTE that Mortal Kombat Choose your own ending Stop Motion you made remains a groundbreaking piece of work for this genre, whenever I think of Mortal Kombat now, that's what comes to mind.

After making this video I had the figure nearby the rest of the night just posing it around, it’s really nice. If you can snag it, I suggest it, especially because I know you’re a fan of the classic looks and the early versions are absurd in price now. You won’t regret it. Also, I don’t think I ever asked, how do you like the UMK3 Scorpion and Sub-Zero? I remember you saying you ordered them a long while back, if I’m not mistaken.

I remember talking with you about the shoulder joints looking like the toybiz marvel legends figures, which really throws me off with this figure. I think it's the thinner gi that makes it look like that. With the new skull, I think that the white coloring of the skull is to heavy handed and makes it look a little cheap. The black wash on the old Scorpion skull and the golden axe skeletons make it look better. I really like the old ninja body (which I need to animate with soon), and the ultimate MK 3 ninjas also look good. And I'm a Rock You Like a Hurricane guy myself, but I will go and check out those other songs you mentioned.

Yeah, the yellow gi being more narrow definitely makes the shoulders appear more broad. I can say, if the figure is posed, it looks much more natural. There are pros and cons to this vs the original, but I definitely like this one a lot.

The box shows it on his fist, but after making this video I tried putting it on the toe and the heel in different poses and it definitely works great for that as well.

Mk11 Scorpion with the MK2 skin is awesome. As long as it references the MK1 / MK2 skins / looks, perfect. Don't like the MK3 ninja looks to be honest. Just the classic Sub-Zero with the mask I like when it comes to the MK3 ninja designs. I know they came out with just Sub-Zero and Scorpion, but I think they stopped because they know fans prefer the MK1 / MK2 ninja designs, not MK3.

I agree, I think most old school fans especially prefer the MK1/2 designs over UMK3/Trilogy. But I’m surprised Storm hasn’t released the others in that style, since it’s an excuse to print money. A LOT of people would buy them because they missed the first versions. But yes - I like this a lot, I think any classic MK fan will also enjoy this.

@@CaptainMcKayRandom That is true. If they make all the ninjas again with the design of this specific Scorpion, fans who missed the first release of the ninjas would jump on those. I haven't seen or heard any news about the rest of the ninjas coming out with the MK3 style ninja suits.

For my big MK stop motion project, I bought a small chain from the jewelry section of an arts and craft store. You can run a wire through the links, or something like a twist tie you’d get in an action figure package.

@@chase5556 you might be able to put a few drops of shock oil onto a little paint brush and just paint it onto the ball joints, then move it around and it should be better. Sometimes I’ve had those issues but a little bit of the oil usually takes care of it

I think $75 is a fair price for it. It’s a really good figure, and if you have any of the other Storm or McFarlane figures they’ll look pretty good together.

Honestly a lazy figure they need to make a female ninja sculpt that gives us five figures plus variants kitana mileena jade skarlet khameleon I do still like this figure but out of all the things they could have made they make a figure they’ve basically made already
