I was a teenager in the 80s. All my greatest memories, best fun ever, my buddies from high school, my teen crush, the best years of my life: there is a Scorpions song that resumes each story. I got an actual denim jacket from the 80's, with my favorite rockers patches from that era. Yes, Scorpions is my top favorite. Yeah buddy! I live in the SF Bay Area (still do) and we had 3 Rock stations who played all the Scorps albums! I was sort've a guitar prodigy at 12yrs old I played in groups with much older dudes and by High.School MY band "FBI" played 'em all at our amphitheater, along with all the best songs of the day UFO, Montrose,Thin Lizzy, you name it we played it! I lived in Germany for 13 years because my dad was in the Army. I was exposed to the Scorpions when I met some great German friends and they turned me onto them. I would never have heard of them otherwise. It was a great time of my life and this album brings it all back.

I was hairband blonde, tanned out... she was dark eyed, dark hair beauty and a brick house of her own...they were standing up high all by themselves... she was 5 10" all legs ..aerobic instructor. Highschool cheerleader. Every high school boys wet dream.. she was a hard body rock n roll girl. It was the best summer of my life. She took me around the world. Jodi Comstock if you are out there Gary says thanks for that summer of 81. Thanks for picking me to be your pretend boyfriend. It worked out well. We even went to see the Scorpions. Holiday was your song. Played everytime we had a night.

I went from UK to see Scorpions in Hannover in 2023 where they really are gods. Amazing concert and the next morning being up early walking around Hannover listening to this song soaking up the weekend spring time atmosphere. That was a very good time.

The Lovedrive album was released in 1979 when I was 15. This song reminds me of carefree times growing up in Dyce, Aberdeen, when my friends and I though we were the coolest dudes on the planet (lang hair and ripped denim). It sadly makes me pine for the simpler less stressful world that was back then. Great song, fantastic album & wonderful memories.

Scorpions don't get the respect from the music world that they so righteously deserve. Their complexity, nuance, and sparkling mix of acoustic 12 and 6-string guitars alongside Klause's angelic voice in this song, just shine like a diamond. Then comes an eruption of volcanic thunder. Oh, I just feel lt through my bones. I still remember buying the album and blasting it on my pos little system back in 1980 or so, laying on my bed and falling into like a dream state. I miss those days.

My dad used to play a tape of assorted German artists, one of which was this song on a cassette tape in 1989 which was sent over to him by his brother (my uncle) who lived in Germany from 1978 til the mid 2000's... this song brings me right back to 1989 - and brings back memories of being 6 years old in the back of a 1979 Ford Cortina with the smell of Rothmans cigarettes smoke and a totally carefree attitude about myself...great days

First song that I ever remember from father's cheap reel-to-reel, I was 6, next song was "When The Smoke Is Going Down", and these still great! At the balcony we had wild birds nest under an old bureau, when we play this - birds leave their nest and lift to the table, for listening better.
