Fly to the Rainbow, In Trance and MSG. Three albums that rule from beginning to end. Essential listening since hearing them in 1983.

Eerie music on magical times! Only Once upon a time, there was this germanic band capable of translating the inner beauty of the human soul into rock music. Simply, one of its kind! All hail to the Scorpions! Forever and ever!

So this version Uli plays the White Strat with Rudy on drums, the early version from a few years before is played on the heavy Firebird with Jürgen on drums?
@yellowraven85 жыл бұрын
Michael Smith Yes the KZbin video from 73-74 is Juergen Rosenthal on Drums , Ulrich Roth on the brown Firebird Ulrich bought the white strat in 75 for the InTrance record 👍

Absolutely terrific. Uli Roth ruled as far as their guitarists went. I have a question- Rudy wore a Red Sharks t-shirt back then. I'm curious as to what that was about. Was it a movie, or whatever??

You can hear in this solo why Uli is superior over Michael Schenker. truly flawless
@ncwdane8 жыл бұрын
I Like them both, Michael Schenker has so much fun on stage & is a delight to watch, sounds Awesome, sometimes listening to Uli w/ other bands doing songs on youtube, I think Scorps w/ Michael Schenker sounds better, but this version here of "This is my Song" is as good as any I have heard, so sometimes one & sometimes the other (If we must compare) but I love the Scorpions upbeat fun & yet professional performances.

Apples & Oranges. One is Hendrix/Psychedelic leaning, the other is Classical/Blues oriented, and utterly unique.

Michael is awesome however Uli is God...
@nathantorresstanevil69584 жыл бұрын
You mean Rudolf right? Either way Michael and Uli are fucking awesome. Michael and McAuley made some insane songs together and now in the Michael Schenker Fest album the guitar play is crazy good.

Uli Roth and drummer Jurgen Rosenthal rules this song, but this version likely from Rudy or Herman Rarebell.

a bit similar, but not the same. You can compare Santana's 'Smooth' and Mark Knopfler's 'Don't crash the ambulance', too, but again - not the same.
@Balddi713 жыл бұрын
This version sux, only because of the weak drumming.
