Scotch VCR Head Cleaner (2001)

Quick demo of a Scotch/3M "dry" tape cleaner. The box shows a 2001 date code but the video seems to have been used from 1995. It seems to have been sponsored by Best Buy - Turn On The Fun! It promises 30 head cleanings and 6 tape path cleanings. I use the tape in a 1978 Panasonic PV-1100 VCR watching on a 1976 Sony Trinitron KV-1741R.

I only have this along with the other two Scotch Head Cleaner VHS tapes. Mine has the Scotch logo on top of the screen, but this one has a Best Buy variant. The other two are Scotch Head Cleaner Plus, and the original Scotch Head Cleaner from the late 1980’s with an on-screen message and a test tone.

I have a few of these from target. Guess 3m let the retailers brand them in the media itself.
