I'm 66, and have been left with a dodgy heart after contracting Sepsis earlier this year... The biggest compliment I can pay to this feller is that I've been inspired so much by his videos that I'm spending a not so small fortune on hiking/camping gear. It may well kill me, but if anyone can think of a better way to go, then I'm all ears!!!

Ahhh Murray a sneaky day off aye ! None of your days are days off you kind and caring man, today all of us are up the benny with you and the amount of work you put in for all of us is unreal, and I know I speak for all of us that follow you up these mountains and munroes a big huge thank you from us all, for some of us your a lifeline to the things we used to be able to do, for others watching and listening to you is pure inspiration and I know that there are so many that are as grateful as I am at your selfless way of carrying us all up there with you, you deserve a medal man. You are a Mountain of a Man, and I’m sure you’re saving lives out here, by reminding us all what a beautiful world we live in , whilst the whole world goes mad with the things we here on the news everyday, Thank you Murray, thank you so much, we all love you to bits ! Love the CMD Arete been nearly 23 yrs last time I was on there, did it early February and was absolutely awesome... been to Ben Nevis many times over the years, one year I hiked to the CIC hut to climb no5 gully from Glen Nevis Valley, just as I got to the CIC hut the heavens opened up, there were 2 local lads that I had seen at the CIC and they asked if I was going to climb, but when the rain came, I said not now, so they asked where I had parked, and i said Glen Nevis Valley, so they offered to give me a lift from the golf club car park, and that I had to meet up with them in the Nevis Range bar later on... so I did and I couldn't of asked for a better night out and friendship of two local climbers, who also offered me a cuppa tea at the CIC hut .. awesome place Fort William and very friendly.... hoping to get there in July possibly the last 2 weeks as I've got 3 weeks off to do some climbing and scrambling and a visit to the CMD Arete and hoping to get to the Cuillin Ridge traverse and sleep on the ridge for maybe 2 nights and enjoy the tranquil nights on the Cuillin Ridge and watch the stars ... Great vid might do that route looks cool 😎👌👍

What a glorious day! I went up Ben Nevis in 1990 with my dad, on the tourist path. We saw some people come up from the north side, and I remember kind of assuming they'd been scaling sheer cliffs with ropes on - now I've seen the route you took, it doesn't actually look all that difficult after all. Still hard work, though, and there's obviously a need for care. Perhaps one day I'll get to try it. Thanks for another great video!

Just brilliant. I would love to be able to do what you did in this video but........I'm 76 with COPD so I imagine anything more than a bit of a hill would be the end of me. Fortunately, videos like yours still enable me to enjoy the views and a very limited experience of what I and others are missing. Thank you for allowing us to climb Ben Nevis with you. The nearest I got was a few years ago when we went up in a gondolas to a cafe part way up. At least we experienced a 'white out' when taking in the views there. Amazing how conditions change so quickly. You have my admiration sir. Stay safe.

Totally spectactular, even through the fisheye lens! I've only climbed Nevis twice, and it's one of my favourite mountains. I did the Ledge Route and CMD on a glorious summer day, and I'll definitely do it in snowier conditions now (taking winter gear and helmet), having seen how beautiful it looks. The first time I climbed Nevis, I did it from the south, up from Glen Nevis, and then down the mountain path. I even enjoyed walking down the mountain path as it was a great atmosphere with lots of happy people and fantastic views to Skye, a great way to celebrate my 100th Munro. It can be hard to convince people who've only done the mountain path that Nevis is not one of the most boring mountains in Britain, but one of the most beautiful.

@@ScotlandsMountains Aye, but I’m assuming it’s still pretty exposed up there 😁 I haven’t climbed any serious mountains in winter that require crampons etc, but when I was up Cìr Mhòr the snow was pretty deep on the steeper sections and there were a few wee slips - so I can only imagine what that would be like across the gullies! 😶
