Hi Kevin. Another scam that's used particularly in Torremolinos and many other European holiday destinations is the map scam A girl and a guy or sometimes two guys will will put a large city map in front of your face and ask for directions to somewhere on it. I've seen them do this to elderly couples in particular. While your concentrating on the map they are trying your pockets and the other member is trying to steal from your lady's handbag. So be aware of this scam in many holiday locations. Just walk away without talking to them.Great vids Kevin! 🎥

Definitely had the bracelet one attempted on me and my wife in Lisbon. They put it on your wrist and say it’s a gift and then try to ask you for a donation. They are persistent too and don’t take no for an answer. Finally had to just toss the thing on the ground and walk away.

This is my 2nd or 3rd visit to this video. I was in Tenerife in 2019, and we did not experience any scams, but I attributed that to blending in. We speak the language so perhaps we were not targeted, although anyone can get targeted. So Kevin is warning us about not revealing where you keep your valuables. Thank you.

👌👌👌👍....great advice. Walked them streets no end of times👌. We can remember when los cris was like that back in the early nineties, before its peak.( Now on a Down hill spiral).In my opinion. Just had 3 weeks on the Reef. first week 1.16 second week 113. third week 112, dropping week on week.

You might see a lot of things in Faro but every *Portuguese person I have ever come across has been lovely in over 30 years of repeat return travel. Not as rowdy & over commercialised as Spain yet, thank goodness.

Yes mate it's perfect the old town is safe as houses and the steak on the stone at the bank bar and grill in the square you where at is amazing I'm there with my Mrs next Wednesday the 15th June for jet skiing and steak it's the safest place I've ever been my Mrs dropped her purse last time full of euros and someone found it and handed it in there's never been a problem in the old town and I've been going there for years its not like Spain or the canaries the big cities in Portugal have dodgy people but the old town everyone knows everyone and will help anyone it's the best👍

Old town much nicer than Montenegro strip. Good restaurants and bars with good entertainment at night. Enjoy and stay safe. We've stayed in the Boavista top of the cliffs and Cerro Alagoa up the hill other side of Old town Square.

In Bologna my wife asked what appeared to be a student for assistance with getting her case on a train.He lifted it into the carriage then put his hand out for money. Quick as a flash my wife came back with"I don't have any cash"Here a teenager will help a old lady onto the bus and think nothing of it.A"Thank you "is sufficient" What's wrong with these people.

This is why I will always carry a body camera on me at all times so it will catch them out, so unless they block it, at least I know who it was. This is also why I would advise anyone on holiday to bring some sort of body camera on you and have it filmed at all times unless you are with somebody.

I'm an Englishman who's visited Scotland a lot. I've never come across any scam or scammers while there. The Scots are friendly and very welcoming, especially in the Highlands. As with anywhere though, best to be on your guard especially in the big cities.

Scams have sadly existed for thousands of years. Bakers use to put chalk in their bread mix to make it feel heavy and so that they did not need to add so much expensive wheat, or oat, flour 🥴🤢😥

I couldn't understand what the scam was. I have been to Tenerife and mainland peninsula in Spain. No one tried to scam us. We are Portuguese and Spanish, born and raised in the US, but we speak Spanish. Maybe they target the tourist if you don't blend in. Can someone explain what the scam was? I couldn't understand Kevin, but love his accent.

Portugal is on my next visit to Spain. I have family in both places, but have only made it to Spain's peninsula and to Tenerife in 2019. Travel safely. Thank you for your lovely videos.

We got taken to a "bar" by a frienndly Taxi driver years back on our first night. Ended up been followed in by bouncers and walked into a room full of hookers. Absolutely insane but got out fine in the end but you couldn't turn around and get out of there until you paid for drinks and enterance fee without getting a kicking. Scary experience but I was young and dumb at the time haha
